I shall probably start at the Catherine Wheel in Norwich and see what develops from there. Bearing in mind I'm still in the office in Madrid, I feel I'll not last till closing time...

No pub for me either, will be mostly drinking the latest brew crafted in my garage - a nice pale(ish) hoppy number, around 4% 8)

At home, drinking some MyBreweryTap specials I reckon.

Maybe a bottle or two of Stella instead though, will see how I feel when I get home.

Manchester Christmas Market

There appears to be half a dozen or so - anyone in particular better than the others?

The one outside the town hall is best fella. I LOVE the christmas markets. Shan't be there tonight though, unfortunately, as I'm off to a lezzer wedding darn sarf.

So I'll no doubt be drinking whatever southern lezzers drink. I reckon it's probably white wine. I fancy an expresso martini actually

Ah well, I'm only here for the week, spongebob - back to "normal" work on Monday...

Oh and I forgot to say I really fancy a Gin & Tonic tonight for no apparent reason...

I'll be splitting my time between the Greyhound, Grundies and the Traveller's Rest all down the Ashbourne road in Derby. I imagine there will be a bit of Bass from the jug, and then a range of real ales that will combine to give me gut's like a sewer on Saturday.

Gin & Tonic tonight for no apparent reason

Who needs a reason? Top tip though, cut up all of the limes in advance as it can get dangerous after a few.

Mrs BigJohn & I have stayed in the Malt Shovel, and drank there with Psiling, before he guided us arount the FoD. Nice chap!

But tonight it's the normal Friday highlight of the week - we'll be in the Railway Inn, Stafford and I'll be drinking the most excellent Bass. Gin & Tonic for the lady.

I'll meet my little bro in the pub by the station.. and I will have a pint of their strongest guest ale..

Then off to the bowling alley to meet our future brother in-law and some of his family and mates for the start of his stag night..
After that we'll hopefully get to sample a few more ales in the pubs around the quay before sneaking off home quietly before people start planning which dodgy club they wanna go to..

of course Torminalis it'd be an honour, although you'll miss the wedding, I'll probably sleep with your bride & her mother (dead or alive) and 6mths later you'll awake in a chest freezer in Iceland with the stark realisation that the only thing left in your life is a pair of neon purple scuba flippers and a "rad cap" as once given away free on the cover of BMX action bike magazine shortly before it mutated into R.A.D.

2 or 3 Fursty Ferrets when I get in, followed by whatever red wine I find in the co-op on the way home

Round for a biking bunch dinner at a friend's flat tonight. I've dispatched Mrs PixelMix to the local supermarket to pick up some BrewDog (hopefully 5am Saint) and a bottle of wine to take with us.

A quick pint of Thwaites Lancaster Bomber in the Shell Refinery Social Club with a couple of colleagues, then meeting a mate in the British Legion for a Spitting Feathers Thirst Quencher before wandering into Chester later on.

I just got home from work!

Soon I will be off to the Ship Centurion Arminius (yes really) to drink some hoegarden and eat some schnitzel. Then onto the old Neptune for some double brandies in front of the fire.

If I had my way, I'd be down the White Swan drinking Harvest Gold and Saltaire Blonde. As it is I'll be at home downing a few Stellas and some red wine, and maybe a glass of Macallan to finish.

Probably the Old Bookbinders or the Harcourt Arms in Jericho.
As for beer, I have a policy of always trying something new if I haven't seen it before. The Harcourt only does Fullers but he does keep it really well and they have open fires mmmmmmmmmmm!

Pubs with open fires RULE.

Tonight I'll be staying in with Mrs. Starship. There are fillet steaks in the fridge and I'll be quaffing my way through a bottle of Zinfandel and a couple of bottles of Thatcher's Katy cider. There's also a 1/3 of a bottle of vodka next to the wine rack if I get greedy.

Pub tomorrow afternoon though - Mr. Thomas's Chop House in Manchester and on to the Weihnachtsmarkt.
