Pick up my new car on tuesday, 05 golf gti and refused to accept vw's £450 a year quote so what would you reccommend?
I would negotiate a years warranty in with the cost of the vehicle.
Whatever extended warranty you get probably wont be worth having, and you would be better off saving the cost for any repairs needed. I work for a large motor company, and our warranties are crap! recently i replaced an injector on a car, which they paid for (they wouldn't pay for all 4) car was ok for a month and then a second injector failed. They refused to pay for the repair for the second one! customer then facing a bill for over £500! Your probably better off spending the premium on a book on consumer rights!
None, they are useless! Just read the T&C's, then you can try and work out what IS covered, and how it must break to not count as wear and tear/missuse/lack of maintenance.
