Recently had a slight change, I was modelling and programming for CNC machines at a forging company.

I'm now drawing window and door installations for a Danish company supplying the construction industry.

I'm still intrigued by this one. I don't remember ever seeing any purple lines on roads ever

I think it may have been "humour."

Health and safety officer.. there I said it. Used to be a tree surgeon but a bad back stopped me doing that! Thinking of going back to plumbing at some point or LGV driving... Can't be doing with all the politics in an office.

Property Underwriter. I look at multinational companies' physical assets (buildings machinery, stock) and ability to generate profits and work out how much money my company might want in exchange for paying for Damage and lost profits in the event of something going bang, woof, fssst, slosh, etc that isn't supposed to go bang, woof, fssst, slosh, etc.

valiant effort to make it sound interesting..... ๐Ÿ˜‰

Sell used plastics machinery. Worked in the retail side of the cycle trade for 10 years prior (since becoming a saturday boy at 14) but figured that I needed to do something that gave me proper money for things and would give me my weekends back, having said that, I've never really had them!

Always having conflicts about whether I was right to give up a job I loved for a job that paid really well, don't think I'm ever going to find an answer to that tbh, although the new job has given me a 20 mile, majority off-road commute by bike as opposed to a 5 minute walk down the road.

Or anything else that someone wants to pay me money for ๐Ÿ™‚

After reading all of this, my job doesn't seem so bad.

Not as good as Ron Jeremy's though ๐Ÿ™

Bike mechanic, room booker, bag delivery and IT/PCI security for a Suffolk bike holiday company. Occassionally I get to ride a bike in Summer. On the upside I'm off to Austria for 10 days soon to ride a bike and take photos for "work".
Money is ok, team is ok and it's miles better than being an H&S consultant!

I drive an artic for one of the supermarkets. It gets a bit manic,on a sunny summers evening you could do it for nothing, going out in a midwinter blizzard though & you really don't want to be ther.Longest I've held a job down (10 years),been trucking for 21 years.I served my apprenticeship as a spark & stuck it out til my late 20's,much prefer trucking to dragging cables through crappy attic spaces etc.

Money isn't that important to me - as long as I have enough to get by. Who really puts up with a job they hate just so they can buy a new car each year?

I'm moving to Tresco (Isles of Scilly) for a year to work on the Abbey Gardens. Not many jobs get you to such random and interesting places - life is for living, not saving.

Ridings not much cop though - any excuse to buy a Pugsley!

A business of the past now eh?

well it was 25 years ago. my first job after dropping out of university. second job was dealing with local history. third job was tea-boy in a two man IT department at a manufacturing company. By the time I left 9 years later, the department had grown to 6 and I was the senior guy after the IT manager - but most of the management still remembered me as the teaboy. Had to leave to make any progress. I've also worked in a software house, a VAR and a distribution company, been in the current job 10 years now. We make doors. all over the world.

Only a 6 month contract Saxon. Will be back at the end of July.

Could use a bigger patio to help Lil Grips have space to run about, a gate in the back fence and maybe change the line of it too.
