Breaking Bad.

I'm working my way through it, 18 months in and I'm about halfway.

I gave up in early Season 2.

"As good as The Wire", they said. meh.

I'm pretty sure that Breaking Bad is well made and well performed and all, I just stopped wanting to watch it.

I will avoid any film that has award laurels on the cover on principle, they're usually boring and pretentious.

I think Super Hero films are juvenile and overly formulaic.

Guess you haven't found much to watch in the last 5 years then? 😆

slow pace is usually the thing that puts people off who don't like it

For me, it's not about pace; it's about a completely unbelievable moral transformation in such a short space of time (and the fact that the cancer narrative ceases to matter).

Unless Walter White had shown signs of psychopathy before, there is no way he could have dissolved someone in acid without a serious personal breakdown. Too much cognitive dissonance.

So yeah, I find 'Breaking Bad' just bad.

Democracy - draw the line of average intelligence and half the voters fall below it. You also need to have a good choice in the first place.

Children - for so many reasons.

Tea - is just dirty water.

Fish - why do people eat aliens?

Vaping - looks like robot porn!

I'm sure there are others.

+1 for Mrs Brown's Boys. Utter shite.

Michael McIntyre and that bloody Alan Carr. They make my flesh crawl.

Audi/VW group products - overrated, overpriced and horribly arrogant marketing.

Super hero films are generally crap yes, except the deliberately silly ones.

There are however some superb super hero TV series around at the moment.

Disney, Harry Potter, Star Wars, super heroes, all that shite just CNGAS. Adults going to disney world, buying into it all, and they don't even have children! No!

YES THIS

everyone said it was about a mild mannered teacher who transforms into a murderous drug dealer. Sounded interesting. Then you discover that he has murdered his first drug dealer and blackmailed his way into meth production BY THE END OF THE PILOT EPISODE. And you go, wait, there's another 60 hours of this? To find out how many more people he kills, now that the moral and character arc is basically complete?

+1 for computer games, not kids mind, more grown men playing computer games. One particular woek colleague gets up at 3 am to play them, he's so healthy looking he could quite easily be an extra in the new T2 movie.

I find a whole load of comedians just grating but fortunately they're not asked their opinion.

Stephen Fry is asked his opinion and I can't stand the smug git. Don't know why just don't like him.

Mind you David Walliams needs put out of my misery.

I have little to no interest in literature - I've tried reading everything from Shakespeare to Tolstoy to Salinger. All a load of meh. Basically I'm not that interested in people - much prefer SF.

Like blinking flip it is.

Breaking Bad is okay to pretty good, no more than that

The Wire is a piece of brilliance. See, also, The Sopranos.

In fact, that reminds me of something else that's rubbish; Westworld.

If you are saying "+1" to something, that loads of other people have already said (Mrs browns boys)
Then it not really a "heresy" is it ?

It's just a big list of things that are generally thought to be shit 😆

(Un-)Reality TV

Encouraging moronic, overly dramatic and selfish behaviour in the real world since at least the original Big Brother.

See also: celebrity culture generally and being famous for being famous due to something stupid you did or your family being so wealthy you never need learn from your mistakes.

Not really heresy though, is it.

Nor is not liking whisky.

Questioning Help for Heroes, now that is heresy.

Lord of the Rings - the books.

Christ almighty it does go on. Tom ****ing Bombadil and singing dwarves and holy christ how long is the Council of flipping Elrond.

I read it, just so I had read it, but i wouldn't say i enjoyed it.

No problem with the films though largely as they skipped a lot of that shite

Do enjoy re-reading HHGTTG though!

Loath telly especially reality and competition stuff. Eg dancing singing crap and anything popular. Most telly watchers are thick! :lol:so if they like it it must be crap. Obviously cycling on telly is good as are American fly on the walls about chaps with chainsaws.
Also loath baggy shorts, baseball caps and arse showing jeans on blokes. Poncy coffee with a name other than black or white, mobile phones and (anti)social media.

Mrs Brown's boys - utter, utter shi*e!!

Well no one would admit liking Mrs Brown's Boys on here - the general census is that it is utter, utter shite, so I'm not sure that it counts as "heresy".

On the other hand I like Mrs Brown's Boys, it amuses me. And I'm perfectly happy to admit it.

Mrs Brown's Boys.

David Bowie. Have tried hard but just irritates

Hitchhikers Guide was originally a radio play where they made it up as the went along each week. It sort of made it work because no-one really knew where it was going but now that idea seems to be taken up everywhere and it grates (see almost any series on Netflix )

I read it when I was 15. Ideal age because 1, you still think this sort of thing is cool. And 2, you've got years to finish it.

Still, if you want a real benchmark of bloated fantasy you need to look at the Wheel of Time, a series so ridiculously overlong the writer died before the end.

Big Bang Theory.
Friends.
(Actually, most US sitcom. Though {someone else's heresy} Arrested Development was great

Football, Rugby. Pretty much any spectator sport. Cycling and some of the winter olympics are about the only things I can summon up any interest for at all.

David Attenborough
