Home made bread for me as well, although I will admit to being partial to tinned macaroni cheese!

Haslet on toast

mmmm... with branston pickle (or cheaper own-label alternative)

Always provokes a debate on the correct pronunciation though. Is it hass-let or hay-slet?

Even better if you chop up an onion and add that.

Only ever heard it said hass-let. What part of the world says it the other way?

Now I like that choice. Not too pretentious however sophisticated enough to distance itself from scrambled egg.

A massive pot of chicken broth made from the carcass of the weekend roast and lots of veg. That has to be cheap.

10 years ago I would have said pot noodle. Then after eating 1 a day for a month (and next to nothing else, bar beer and pub snacks) it put me in an icu. For malnutrition of all things! Who'da thunk it!

Still love chicken supernoodles though. With cheese melted into them. And a bit of chopped ham or hotdog if I want to make it special!

Bacon cured with water?!
Sugar, salt and water mentioned twice!
some stuff I can't pronounce!
