Recent article on BBC website about using Bluetac to collect bits of radioactive metal from a reactor got me pondering;

What's been your best bodge?

Pretty chuffed with zip ties holding my swing arm together after it decided it didn't like being a swing arm.

Not so good was a cocktail we made at a party that ne named 'bodge' that required the use of a strainer to remove lumps and debris. That I have mixed feelings over.

Threaded steerer on the new forks for paperround /go to school bike was too short.(last ones got bent in stair jumping incident)

With no real understanding of what I was doing I just hacked off the relevant amount from the head tube top and bottom freehand with a hacksaw and refitted headset cups

That bike took a beating for another 2 years. Long live emmelle cheatah

I was 14 at the time! No bodge has beat that yet ๐Ÿ™‚
