Well in the current lock-down I seem to have managed to get around to sorting a couple of bits out.
Managed to fix the Gtech Air Ram this morning - the button to release the beater bar was stuck and it kept getting warm and cutting out.
After googling it appears that this is caused by hair & carpet fiber being sucked into and wrapping around the bearing and release mechanism.
Managed to gently persuade it out with a srewdriver levering the plastic case out just enough to not break it...
Spent ages with a pick pulling bits of hair and carpet out from the axle- then realised that I could pull the cap off the bearing - still took another 15 minutes to clear melted carpet fiber from the bearing and axle.
So what have you managed to fix?
Tamiya Lunchbox rear suspension and fitted a new rear axle to the D90, a 1/12 MN D90.
I regained 2x11 gearing on my road bike ~2 weeks ago after the mech cable snapped around October, at which point I rarely look it off the turbo. 😳

Daughter's apple headphones that had fallen apart at the earpiece. A little soldering and some super glue - good as new (if you over look that the L and R are now the wrong way up - oops)
Sink U bend which had got progressively plugged by my daughter using it as a disposal point for the matches for her bath-time candles. Looked like a pick-up sticks game down there.

UP (clonking from chainset) - adjusted
Tumble drier - pads replaced and groove worn into rim filled with resin and sanded back.
Stache - gears needed indexing as they were slightly out.
That’s this week.
Replaced the spring cassettes in the back door handle after the old ones disintegrated. Seconds of a job really but it gives me a tiny amount of pleasure opening the door now.
The sliding door on my sprinter. The cable carrier was borked and snarling up the lower runner - I bought a new one about two months ago but haven't had the time or weather to deal with it til now.
Now the rear door lock is borked 🙂 plenty of time for that 🙂
Hopefully boiler, (electric) have a pack of thermistors on order.
Will do job on my roof this weekend hopefully.
SICKCHIRPSE.COM Fixed the dishwasher with an E15 error code.
It's integrated so had to take the whole front off you be able to get behind the kick panel where there is a very small polystyrene disc with a micro switch that triggers if any water gets in there.
Not sure why water did get in there but,I fixed it and it's been ok since. 😊
A beehive repair
Our garden was due to open under Scotland’s Garden Scheme from
April through to September. That got knocked on the head, so my mother started a Facebook blog, it’s Glassmount Garden Blog if anyone is interested.
I just fixed the arm on my 7yo daughters sunglasses, because she's dressed up with those, a Sunhat and a rucksack to pretend she's a traveller going on our holiday thats now cancelled. 🙁
Ipad 3 screen wasn't responding in certain places so £7 for a new touch screen and all working only took about 20mins which was nice.

Half way through servicing Mrs P's Kenwood mixer - it was making a hulluva racket so I've taken it apart, found the gearbox needed overhauling and am now waiting for some food-safe grease to be delivered before I stick it back together. Tempted to just whack some Duckhams in there but for some reason she's not keen.
Some fences last weekend that we in danger of failing. Really I need to replace them, but suspect most fencing supply shops aren't open for punters right now. So I repaired them instead. Not pretty.
To do:
Felt a shed. (I have the felt and nails already).
Build a turbo bike out of a random assortment of knackered bits n' pieces.
Service forks.
A toilet roll holder. I know exiting isn't it.
Wall clock. The suspension leaf, (which is the flexible bit that the main pendulum hangs off) wore through. I bought something 'like' but it needed resizing and the T piece removing from the old one and shimming/soldering on. I love repairing stuff rather than just paying someone or chucking away and replacing, (which isn't really possible in this case).
I just fixed myself a sandwich.

dishwasher, water getting into base from a perished hose. Dishwater fixed, but the kitchen now needs putting back together.
rear bearing re-build on hope hub. every year for the last 4 years.
building a tablet holder for the bike on the turbo. Need better wood, better tools and an idea of how to use them, apart from that its going to be better than balancing it on the bars for it to fall to the ground ripping the usb plug out again.
Fitted a new ceiling in the bathroom. Old plaster was sagging so expected it to fall down soon. Poked a hole and discovered it was a sheet of plasterboard over old lath and plaster🤦♂️
Didn't fancy ripping that down so screwed some 2x1 batons into the joists and sheeted over that with new plasterboard. Taped and skimmed the gaps, new cornicing on, decorated and new flooring fitted.
This. 1/10hp Tom Senior Simplex, still needs more work yet.
This week:
Rebuilt recording/gaming computer
Couch - Dismantled, deep cleaned, skooshed with stuff - think it had bedbugs in it. I have lots of itchy bites.
Defrosted freezer, fitted new temp sensor
Washing machine borked, fitted new brushes to motor and all good
Car electric window not working - replaced rollers and some seals. Mostly working.
Rewired Marshall guitar can to be switchable stereo/mono so I can bi-amp
Tenement stairwell was a horrorshow - have filled/plastered all the gouges, sanded, washed it down with sugar soap. Just need to mask it all paint but probably next week as that's a lot of chores for this week!
Though I need to rebuild a troublesome beer tap so I can get my saison out of the keg
Fence panel had blown down (and into pieces) in one of the storms. A waiting game followed as neither us or the neighbour wanted to fix it. Wasn't overly bothered as we weren't spending much time at home or in the garden...
Anyway, assumed fencing suppliers aren't open so used the side of the old shed (kept just in case), and a bit of trellis. Worked my way up the fence fixing it with bits of old desk and picnic bench. Not pretty, but won't fall down. And free.
Also reattached Buzz Lightyear's head after about 4 years of him being headless.
If someone could tell me how to fix my cistern, I would do that!
It needs more water for the flushes (you can imagine why), I've seen how to adjust it on yoootoob, but the adjuster is right at the bottom under all that water... and I can't get me arm down there.
I think I fixed the layout of my workroom.

Turn off the water to it and flush to empty the cistern. Bail out the last bit with a sponge and take the mechanism out of the cistern.
Edit - love that little static engine, but fear if I had one of those I'd turn into the sort of person that sits outside a caravan at steam fairs all weekend just watching it chuff away. 😁
Fully rebuilt a 240 hub ready for building it up into a wheel. Also amazed my daughter with some frankly awful stitching to repair her slippers where the wool had detached from the sole.
Hopefully the lock down will mean I can finally fix my car and the two house doors that the children can't open.

MiL's laptop. All I knew was that 'the screen was messed up' (she's 87), so over the phone I had to talk her through getting TeamViewer running - but she had managed to get it into Tablet mode, and turned the screen brightness to minimum, neither of which I knew (or even knew were things) until I had connected to it. When we both feel up to it I'll try to set TeamViewer up for unattended login!
I managed to unblock my Pentel Kerry mechanical pencil. It had been blocked solid for a year.

@tthew spookily enough, ive just got one of those down from my loft in a corona-clearout, it was my mam and dads. had a look and it doesnt work. it looks very much like that one in your post.
are they actually worth anything? not bothered about using it ourselves but dont like just chucking stuff. if theyre worthless tho id sling it, if its worth a few bob id attempt a fix and give it to someone.....
Wired in and set up the closed loop idle control valve on the old Porkie. it's been relying on the throttle body screw and slightly high idle for 10 years.
Dead pleased with the way it reacts with temperature and load now. Rather than stalling when the heated rear screen is switched on or full lock on the steering.
Might try for wasted spark next, after I finish bleeding the brakes. Ran out of Dot fluid yesterday

Don't know, it came from my Grandma's house and it looks great in our hall. Please don’t sling it though, I'm sure someone would like it even if it's worth nothing and would make a charity donation in return for it. Hell, I would. Where do you live, (not that I could collect it for a while)

An annoying rattle in 1x SRAM brake rival brake lever - fixed with blue tack and tape and all quiet now!
Lincoln is the wrong side of the country for me sadly. But glad you're not just going to chuck it. Put some photo's up when you have it running!
