Just wondering.

I've put a frame ebay. Still 3 days to go and there's 120 watchers! I thought 50 was high

100+ a few times when selling a good frame.

More general stuff like cars, say, must get several hundreds.

If you're watching something, can you see how many others are also watching the same item?

Where do you see the watched numbers?

In the selling summary in 'my ebay'.

As said above it doesn't mean a jot to the likelihood it will a) sell and b) sell for what you want.

If I'm about to sell something I'll occasionally watch similar items to get an idea of what to expect.

I know this! it just means there's a bit of interest. FWIW i sold my old superlight frame and it went for a lot more than i expected. Same with a tank frame.. that went for more than i paid and i had it over a year.

I got about 150 when I sold my Dads Nissan Cabstar. What a nightmare that was for phone calls too. My two favourites were:

"I wanted a Transit and your selling a Cabstar, so you need to do a discount as it's not what I'm after'

"I'm calling from Nigeria, I want to import the truck will you pay the import fees?" "no" "ok will you pay for this phone call"

In the end only 8 people bid on it.
