I watched Booksmart.

Fun little coming-of-age film, but a comedy? Not remotely.

Agree - Thought it was a kid's film tbh.

Seriously, no one recommending Dumb & Dumber?

Purile, infantile and utterly hilarious.

O Brother, Where Art Thou? is the only film I've had to watch twice because I was laughing so much I missed bits.
Hausu is hilarious and beautifully wrong.

OP might also want to check out Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.

Delightfully hilarious spoof pop-umentary with Andy Samberg as a Justin Bieber-type singer.

I'm currently enjoying A million ways to die in the West.

It appeals to my childish sense of humour.

Watched The Apartment at @malvern-rider-2 suggestion
I quite liked it but the wife was not impressed.
Too much sexist/cheating behaviour. The nicest guy in it is Baxter, but even he is aiding/abetting the cheating going on.

Just made me do a double-take and check online as didn’t recognise it from yr description. I don’t think I’ve seen ‘The Apartment’ after all! It was the ‘The Odd Couple’ 😎. (Lemmon/Matthau)

I can see why I got them mixed up because the Odd Couple is about two mismatched room-mates who are sharing an apartment. It’s filmed almost entirely in said apartment. That’s my excuse, but sorry for the misrecommendation!

Anyway, The Odd Couple. Brilliant chemistry between the two main characters. Similar in many ways to ‘Sideways’, ie extrovert vs introvert. It took me a few watches over the years to see bits of myself in Jack Lemmon’s character. With hindsight, I see much more 😬
