Morning all,
As above, whats the best way to go about this please? We have a series we're watching and wanted to put some episodes onto the ipad for watching on the plane.
Can we use something like VLC or will we have to convert them to something else?

Avplayer hd is good if its still available, will pretty much play any format.

As mentioned above AVPlayerHD is excellent.
Plays most formats and can add subtitles if needed.

Playerxtreme plays pretty much all file types and it’s quite easy to transfer the files onto the iPad over WiFi too.

By way of follow up, VLC worked like a charm and being able to wireless transfer the files over instead of messing about with iTunes was great.
