Having travelled extensively and being currently in Bahrain for a few months I can confidently say that the overwhelming majority of people in the world are friendly, helpful and a delight to engage with.

My son who managed to detonate a display grade landmine in his face on bonfire night has just been for an eye test which confirms his eyesight is good enough to drive again. He can even see well enough to return to clay shooting. His scars are healing and his skin is rejecting the grit and burnt powder. Happy days.

Do what? A David Icke gig? Or just in the street? How could you possibly be duped into the former??

The lizards can make you do anything.

Not IN this world, but you can see Venus and Mars from about sunset in the UK. Brightest "star" in the sky is Venus, about 2" to the left and 1" up is Mars. It's red.

BBSB, my Dad had one of these: Tela Dayboat for a good few years, it was his retirement present.

New fibreglass boat made from 100 year old design. Beautiful, lovely to sail and surprisingly quick.

I've just had a cracking chicken tikka with rice in the Trinity Kitchen in Leeds for dinner. Washed down with a bottle of cherry coke and a Boost on the way back to the office. Stuffed and happy. All is good.

And I managed to (just about) make out the crescent shape of Venus for the first time earlier in the year (or perhaps very late last year) (with a telescope).

And people are going to start realising how little substance there is to people like Trump, and vote him out. And every day is a day closer to the day he dies which, more likely than not, will be before you do.

I should move to Texas or somewhere warm with mountains.

Texas has a horrible climate and not much in the way of mountains. The BBQ, and pretty much all the food other there, is rather disgusting. However, a lot of people do have placky bangers, so the tits are covered. On the whole, Texas isn't very nice. The beer is good though.

When it comes to wondering what's good in the world, not much of it is in Texas. My advice would be to go somewhere warm with mountains.

Yesterday's dog photoshoot was like the curate's egg. Good in parts...
