Mrs P needs a decent new saw for some woodworky stuff, and the Woodboy looks like a lovely bit of kit (life's too short for crap tools). Is there anything else similar that's worth looking at for fine, precise cuts?

I have this set from Workshop Heaven, and it's fantastic.

Bit more money but 4x the saw-age.

Workshop Heaven

They're all fine saws, compared to your builders merchant saws, but the set really does everything you'd need, with a good rip-toothed saw, dovetail saw, down to the very fine flush-cut saw.
Matthew at Workshop Heaven is great for advice too. Top bloke.

I'm assuming that's MrsP's Christmas present sorted then? And she'll be posting on 'What is the last thing you made? (pics pls)' on this forum by January...

OOh thanks Kayak23 - that's a tempting set. And @creakingdoor she's not on here... I hope! ๐Ÿ˜€

They also do Folding saws. I have one too, though it's not what I'd call particularly fine-toothed.
I always go to my fixed Dozuki for fine shit.
