Looking to see what I can save on sky, so I have more for bike bits 😉

I have 1TB HD boxes and one 500gb HD box on multiroom, line rental, fibre broadband, variety pack (no movies or sports), talk anytime and paying £90. Just been onto sky and they offered me offered £73 for 10 months and back to £85 for last 2 months on 12 month contract.

Just wondering if someone is getting a better deal and whether to go for more or accept or move to virgin ?

Thanks in advance for your feedback

Ours isn't really comparable to yours as it's a smaller package but here goes anyway.

BT unlimited fibre optic broadband (upto 75mbps but typically around 25-30)
BT TV with the PVR
Anytime call package

£40.40

Add on Netflix at £5.99 and amazon prime at around £6:58 per month and our total broadband, calls and TV package comes to £52.97.

I am going to cancel BT TV in the next few days as there's nothing on their channels that I've wanted to watch over the last twelve months. The PVR is useful but that's mine to keep anyway after the 1st 12 month period.

BT again here...

cancelled the tv after 12 months but the box is ours to keep so all in:

70 meg broadband - £24 a month
line rental - paid yearly in advance - £144

total - £36 a month.

We already have amazon prime for loads of free films, and any "rentals" are £3.49 for new films.

£52.90

Sky Talk Anytime UK
Fibre Unlimited
500gb HD box Variety Package (don't pay for HD channels)

No multiroombut I have other Sky boxes. I plug my iPad or Macbook via a hdmi with sky go on it if I want to watch something on subscription channels.

Sounds like you're paying quite a bit. I could have got mine even cheaper when we moved but added some option on the talk side things.

My 120meg (it's usually around 90-110) virgin BB + Phone is 38PM, Sky HD multiroom with all channels + movies etc is £60 for me.. I'm moving my TV to Virgin as I'll get the lot for around 60PM, I prefer sky TV but 480 a year is a big saving.

Got the Virgins here...

150Mb unlimited fibre broadband
M+ TV package (no movies or sports but seems to have everything else, inc HD)
Phone line but no call package. We never use it, so it doesn't matter.
1TB Tivo box

£45 a month.

Frankly, I'd pay the money just for the internet service.
