Say May stood down or whatever, & everyone said, 'err, no thanks, not just now'.
What would happen?
(I know it won't cos someone always wants to be 'in charge')
the crown [ monarch] selects the PM to form their [ the crowns/monarch] govt so the crown picks someone- there are no restrictions on who they pick though they have to be an MP iirc] or the crown calls another election [ they do this not parliament]and we repeat the process till we get a winner /willing victim
there are no restrictions on who they pick though they have to be an MP
damn, was just about to put my hand up but that rules me out.
Who will lead, when no-one who wants to, should be allowed to?

You'll always find someone in any collection of 600 odd MPs who'd do it just for the PMs salary and pension even if they knew it was a most poisoned chalice.
chewkw would stand up and accept the burden.
The pension alone would set you up for life.
When I'm PM, you can have a hard or soft breakfast, depending on your preferences and the state of your dentures.
Can't see what all the fuss is about personally.
Vote Spanner for a crisper (or soggier) tomorrow morning.
You don't need to be an MP, by convention for the past 100yrs the role has been filed by an MP
Like most things relating to governing this country the rules are very vague

Crikey, just as I was going to type me answer, you got there first by giving the correct answer. 😯
Thank you for your support ... I accept. 😆
