I don't usually go in for mantras or words of wisdom, you can't encapsulate the huge complexities of life in a line or two, but...

An old boss of mine who I couldn't stand (and vice versa) once said "if we do what we did, we'll get what we got" and if I actually agreed with that socket on it I think, it must be good.

Sounds like part of the old Jewish proverb the last bit of which was used by Primo Levi for the title of his novel about Jewish partisans in WW2:

"If I am not for myself who is for me? And being for my own self, what am 'I'? And [b]if not now, when?[/b]"

Well worth a read if you haven't already although being a born procrastinator myself the obvious answer is 'maybe later?'.
