[#364116]

doing a 24 hour race solo in July. so i guess by 2am i'll be needing some good tunes to get me through. But this being Norway and the summer it wont be dark so could be a bit surreal.

i'm think of the collected works of Motorhead and Iron Maiden to go on my ipod

Is it run under UCI regs ? Cos then NONE check the rules but I think Young Persons Music Playing Devices have been banned.

Quite right too if you ask me, although you didn't.

Based on my experiences of having my mobile blaring out music while doing my night laps at Mayhem, Roxy Music seemed to be the one that got the most approving comments from other riders.

You play music from a mobile phone and inflict your whinny musical taste on everyone around you?

I wold go mellow post-rock.

Labradford
Godspeed! You Black Emperor
Explosions in the Sky

Or possibly some minimal soundscapes thanks to:

Stars of the Lid
Final

Save the fast metal and punk for the start / end of the race. Listening to G!YBE on the dawn lap at SiTS a few years ago was amazing...shame I was so knackered!

None! I just cannae race or get in "the flow" of the trail plugged into the iPod. I use one on the road to alleviate the boredom and then it's nine inch nails at the moment!
