I have some time to fill while my wife is under a general anaesthetic at the Lgi. Suggest some interesting things to see/do. Preferably not shopping! Thanks.

Maybe the Royal Armouries Museum would float your boat?? Not been myself but sounds interesting

North Bar is good too.

Take a good look at the market too. Victorian splendour ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope it all goes well for her, and expect you won't be able to head far, but if you do need a change of scene.

You're next to the Leeds Art Gallery, but if you head over to St James', the Thackray Medical Museum is quite good.

Adelphi is crap now so don't bother.

Royal Armouries is worth a visit and you can always call in at the Palace on the way back.

I you want to stay at the top end of town by the LGI then Leeds Art Gallery.

His wife's in LGI. I'm not sure a medical museum will exactly take his mind of it.

The Art Gallery is worth a look although it's not huge. The Armouries is a bit of a trek from LGI.

Leeds City Museum is just over the road from LGI. I've never been but it does have this scary tiger:
