[#6562993]

Came up for a short break and have not planned anything.

Any suggestions? Have been told "no bike shops, boats, or museums", the weather rather foul so cant be a wander about really. Im thinking extended eating and drinking...

ps staying in Leith

National museum on chambers street.
Free and huge, easy to spend a whole day taking in the various sections!

Stay indoors and have lots of sex.
When that gets boring call for some prostitutes

Visit my son in his student halls to see if he's alive.

Oh leith.....go to the cafe in debenhams and look for the chilled teenager with a mop for hair and say that his mum n dad say hi.

I like Scotts monument, its 4pounds to climb some stairs but its the ultimate view of edinburgh.

Well, I'm looking out my window.Looks a braw day. If you think this is foul you must live in Southern California?

Get yourselves up Arthur's Seat. That will kill a few hours with some breathtaking views before it's socially acceptable to start drinking. But if you're not bothered about social acceptability there are plenty pubs open at this hour. I'll suggest The Marksman in duke street as a starter, then right up leith walk.

If your OH is hellbent on laying down rules get them to come up with a plan!
