I've ordered a head torch for me & a pair of 20inch by 2.7 inch creepy crawlers for little un. The tyres on his specialised are 1.5 & are just sinking into the dirt & slowing him down. Which he finds extremely annoying. I need the torch for getting out of the house in the dark to avoid as many people as possible.
A good selection of beers from Brewdog and a case of 'proper' Somerset cider from Burrow Hill! 😋 🍻
Headset, quick link, gear cable set 15mm end caps and a couple of inner tubes for my old hradtail that I'm bulling up. Just need to get either new brakes for it or for my full suspension bike and swap the old ones across.
New fork decals for my full suspension bike.
A tubeless conversion kit for the gravel bike
A new air filter and pollen filter for the car.
Think that's it.
Hub, rim, spokes. Not sure what I'm going to do with them though. Any suggestions?
A rowing machine
- XT 12sp groupset
- Hope microspline freehub
- New rug for the living room
- Giro bib shorts
- Shock tuned by jtech
Need to stop now as I've got other things waiting to go in baskets 😀
I've spent the afternoon tidying the garage - too much stuff. I'm never ordering anything again!
Mixed case of 24 bottles from Fallen Acorn brewery in Gosport.
I think bulkier items are probably the most difficult to get delivered at present...
After the thread the other day that mentioned indoor bouldering walls I've now got 20 hand/foot holds sat in the garage but nothing to bolt them to and if I want any Plywood sheet delivering it looks like it's going to cost about triple it's regular price...
I'm not toying with the idea of ordering some anchor bolts to just fix them straight to the brickwork (inside the garage) as it would be cheaper and easier to get those delivered than ply sheets.
Otherwise I'm keeping my discretionary purchases to a minimum (although I do keep eyeing up various watches)...
Hurray!
Xbox has arrived. Should be set up and updated in time for Xmas
Waiting:
Rapha Pro Team Training Top and Core Mitts
2 X 5 litres Creocote
100 Native Hedging Plants
Arrived:
Rapha Festive 500 Top from Archive (and yes I did)
Brick Waterproofer and Sprayer
25 Bottles/Cans Ale from Gloucester Brewery
4/5ths of F all at the moment as I don't need stuff other than food.
Once I've had a think about it I will order stuff from firms I trust to do the right thing. And only then if I need it, I know this might not give the right impression of supporting in times of crisis but do we really want to add more junk to the planet
I was expecting another Sick Bikes thread, very disappointed.
Wahl hair clippers, it’s all getting a bit Chewbacca at the moment.
Everything I've ordered has arrived...
New Camera tripod
Nice pen
Two pairs of shoes
...But I have not. Stuck on the ship, nearly 6 weeks in (usual 4) another 3-4 weeks expected due to relief crew can't get to Guyana. 😥
A 1950's CTC pin badge from Ebay.
A custom Wizard Works handlebar bag to pin the former.
Tin of red gloss paint. I'll either use it to paint the front door, it's looking a bit tired. Or if it gets too bad I can use it to put red Xs on doors
Treadmill
Solo tennis trainer
Clicker counter (for doing munros on my 3 stairs!)

a dream catcher
Arrvied:
Service kit for my Lyriks.
Frame bearings and headset bearing for my Bird.
New decals for my Lyriks, which I did a terrible job of fitting.
Awaiting.
Curtain hooks.
A number for our door - is de-numbering your door a thing? When we got the keys, even before we moved in the Mrs, who's usually pretty lazy was out there scraping off, the admittedly cheap / ugly numbers off the equally cheap ugly UPVC door. Wouldn't be drawn on why. It's only come to light since Covid that not only don't we have a number on our door, but neither do our neighbours and the next house along. WTF Postie took an earful off next door (or rather the daughter who lives there about every 3rd weekend) for delivering our post to them AGAIN. As if life for a postie wasn't hard enough at the moment.
Egg timer.
Paint for the bathroom
Silicone sealant to try to make my garage watertight.
My precious, getting very close 🙂

Weirdly despite trawling various forums and eBay, so far my only purchase during 2 weeks of lockdown has been a cheap Spot Brand SS frame on eBay although no idea when it'll be arriving! Other than that, I'm saving loads of money as I'm not wanting to overload the delivery companies to get them to delivery stuff for me. I have been looking at Lupo GTIs though!
@bedmaker - China, Hong Kong, Germany I'd be bathing that in Dettol whatever it is!
A number for our door
House number here too. I took the old Spanish style ceramic tiles off the wall as I was sick of looking at them - it took a good hour given the array of different adhesives used to fix them to the textured brick... Hammer. Chisel. Wire Brush. Acetone. And now we're numberless for the foreseen future.

IPA spray at the ready 🙂
To be fair, if I was Chinese I'd be more worried about recieving a parcel from the UK now...
A Timberbell off STW
Some Mavic goretex SPD shoes
A seat collar with rack mounts to go on my CX bike so I can put a rack on the back. Trying to up carrying capacity of my bikes to reduce car use.
About to order a couple of iSpindel hydrometers and a wireless relay/display unit for them so I can monitor temps and fermentation of my beers from my phone as my wee brewery is in a different town.
Using money refunded from a music festival I'm not going to any more.
Have had a big list of things I've wanted to buy for ages - some things have been on there for 2 years, so I've decided to just complete the list.
PACT coffee subscription 4 days late and I've run out of the last lot. Shit just got serious 😡
An Asgard shed that was ordered well before any panic, delivery delayed twice and now unlikely to see it this side of summer. They claim to be focussing on the needs of the NHS so either the NHS has ordered a shed load of sheds or they're making things other than sheds in the factory!
That means the whole garage clearing excercise is on hold, just when I finally had firstworld time to do it..
Also far too many coats, the aim being that at least one would fit! Three heading back to where they came from!
A new cycling jacket from Aussie Grit that may end up on the classifieds as I didn't see the no returns bit when I ordered. Shorts ordered as well because I'm probably down to 6 useable pairs (seduced by the discount).
A carpet cleaner because I am told the carpets need cleaning.
I sense that boredom will lead to more...
A bound copy of Cycling 1918 from Cz.
Needed to fill one of the gaps in my collection from 1893 to 1945
Nearly all of the bike parts i ordered arrived today. Just waiting on filters for the car and new fork decals.
Crap, also got US navy Goretex jacket on the way... Well it's rainy season here soon. And it was cheap. Can't turn down cheap Goretex surplus can you? (clearly I can't)
an audio adapter plug 1.4" - 3.5mm , so when my daughter is teaching herself piano (electric piano) in the same room i am working from home, i can hear myself breath.
A short sleeve thermal jersey and arm warmers from Le Col. Should have been delivered a week ago, according to the courier (dpd) it has been delivered and signed for by someone whose name I don’t recognise. As my daughter has had a cough for a while we have been self isolating so able to guarantee no delivery has been attempted. Bit frustrated now as Le Col are waiting for their courier to complete their internal investigation. (I’ve checked and neighbours don’t have it)
Also ordered a lawnmower, desperately needed!! No idea when this will turn up though, was due on Friday but that one is my fault for not ordering before lock down.
w00dster - DPD are taking photographs on the doorstep of deliveries so worth asking them for that. Our driver only seems to take close ups of the parcel on the floor though - did tell him that having more of the house, or at least the door number might help...
I've ordered a whole loads of Danish styled building blocks from Wish, I bought a Porsche 919 before Christmas which was superb (and huge) for £38 delivered. Daughter had some Little Mermaid themed stuff where the only issue I could see was thay Sebastian looks more like a Scorpion than a lobster/crab. 🙂
I thought I'd take a punt on a few other bits, have the Mack truck coming and their version of the Liebherr digger thingy, plus some other princess themed stuff.
my social distancing impulse online shopping thus far:
waiting on
bulk order of granola from 15th march, still not dispatched
a new saddle, tyre sealant and rim tape.
some chris king lube so i can service my hubs.
orders arrived already:
roval carbon wheels for the hightower
new ugg slippers
a north face hoodie
18 pints of ale from the local brewers
MXR chorus pedal for my guitar
On hold due to job uncertainty:
Trek rail e bike
did tell him that having more of the house, or at least the door number might help…
Problem is, everyone's taking the door numbers off.
I'm waiting for these to enjoy with a drinking buddy

A new-in-box ZX Spectrum and a copy of Daley Thompson's Decathalon.
I'm only doing it to make Cougar jealous.
I've decided its service time so forks and which have been away and come back.
New pivot bearings for mine and wifes bike
Bearing pullers for the above job
Wheel bearings
If I cant ride it properly then I might as well show it some love and have it running well for when play can resume
I ordered beer from a local brewery called Vocation, and a climbing training board from Beta blox which arrived today, very happy. In combination with Zwift, I've got no excuse now when the lock down ends.
Woohoo, wipers have been delivered.
My car will now not be moving for a week or 2, at least. Oh well.
Priced up a luftkappe & 160mm upgrade to my forks, £175 all in so that can wait a little while.
Trying to resist buying an AMD RX 5700 to play some games on my lovely new monitor...
A couple of items despatched before the current situation became more critical have arrived, my TWSPI GO fountain pen, and a new flashlight to replace one I lost at work, which I got through Drop. Rather tasty, it’s a Powertac E9R-G4 tactical, which uses a high-discharge 18650 battery, and puts out 2200 lumens on full power!
What makes it tactical is the tail switch can be swapped for one with a remote switch and fitted to a gun with the appropriate mounting, unlike most of the cheap ‘tactical’ flashlights on fleabay.
Has a really nice 50 lumen ‘moonlight’ mode that gives 50 hours usage, and it charges with a magnetic USB cable that clicks onto a charge point on the body.
The only things I’m waiting for which I ordered the other day, and are apparently being shipped are some King Crimson items from Burning Shed - a Discipline logo patch, a Discipline album launch poster, and a tee shirt with the Red album dial logo.
I did try to order a ‘Starless And Bible Black’ tee shirt, partly because I love the album, partly because the logo and a small graphic from the inner album sleeve were designed by one of my favourite artists, Tom Phillips, who was Brian Eno’s lecturer at art college, the small graphic has the phrase ‘this night wounds time’ a tiny fragment from Phillips work ‘A Humument - A treated Victorian novel’.
There’s some more items in the offing, I’ve got a list of CD’s I want, and a thread on here about some small screwdrivers has led to one recommendation sitting waiting for the button to be pushed.
Been checking out quality 18650 li-ion batteries that don’t require a re-mortgage to buy as well.
I’m awaiting for a reissue Espers cd (from Germany I’ve just realised) and a walking the Camino dvd (both ordered 14th).
I did order a couple of Spanish verb/grammar books the other day (hell, if we’re locked down for three months I’ll need to do something....). Funnily enough not dispatched yet!
Managing to avoid buying much at the moment (esp as you never know when they might stop).
