[#11111860]

Realised over the past few weeks I've been a bit spendy. Meh. Also realised post and parcels have slowed right down. God knows why.... Looks like everythibgbi ordered will be seen by SWMBO as she's WFM. (FML)

It started off with a couple of yellow n black Aphex Twin stickers for my bike. Then I got annoyed at trying to listen to music in bed at night with my "big" headphones so ordered some Bluetooth earbuds. Then I got an email about Saint jeans and ordered some work pants (or action slacks). Then Olight emailed me about a "flash" sale which led me to ordering a couple of copper flash lights. And.... 2 different fountain pens.

After a few drinks the other night I was "this" close to ordering some Industry Nine wheels which look lush but fortunately I managed to not buy them... Phew.

So what goodies have you got to look forward to?

Frustratingly, just a dial to finish a watch I've put together. Don't think I'll see it anytime soon as it's showing as being sat in Hong Kong since 2nd March.

Other than that, I've actively avoided shopping sites, as it wouldn't end well in these levels of boredom!

Although I need some new running shoes, so arguing with myself over if those are justified on health grounds.

Heat pad for home brewing, change of house means this now has to go on in the garage. Some Thornbridge ales. New helmet and trainers for youngest, some frozen chick'hun burgers from her favourite street food place. Pair of Barker loafers as the have a 25% sale. Lens for middle daughter's camera. And I've ordered some bread, pies and cake from a local bakery to collect before work tomorrow for us and some neighbour's. Back to back working with plenty of overtime, no child care, access to alcohol and having nothing else to spend on is a bit of a balance.

Possibly the last turbo in the country ? After being frustratingly outbid on ebay for the last few weeks I bit the bullet and ordered a new Elite Quoba from Wiggle early this morning. Hopefully it will arrive before complete lock down.

You can always justify new running shoes...he says with 3 pairs sat in his Pro-Direct Running shopping basket.

I’ve so far resisted too many purchases but I have got £150 of wine due for delivery tomorrow.

Windscreen wipers, which have been sent 2nd class so might be here some time ooh, next month?

Also a better charger for my garmin watch, and a USB type c splitter so I can charge my phone and use the USB type c headphones for calls at the same time.

Need some running underwear, and a sweat headband to stop the sweat dripping into my eyes on a run.

Pondering ordering a Cane Creek hellbender bottom bracket and BB press set, a red hope seatclamp. And a luftkappe and 160mm air shaft for my Fox 36's. Oh and a reverb AXS.

Lockdown could be expensive.

Some Hope Pro 2 15mm end caps, and Rear qr conversion kit.

Tried to buy a trampoline for the kids but everyone else has already beat me to them...

Might buy a dartboard.

An incinerator bin thingy - local DIY store is shut and the chains are all prioritising 'essential* items' so could be two weeks before it gets delivered or I can click and collect it from Machine Mart.

*I'm stuck at home, hacking at the garden to pass the time, and the garden waste bins aren't being collected: I'd class an incinerator as pretty ****ing essential...

Like others I’ve got a bit carried away. PS4 pro, Bluetooth Sennheiser headphones, monitor for the office set up, Apple Magic keyboard, Apple Watch and three crates of Thornbridge beer. Oh and an Alpkit dry bag (Christ knows why I need that any time soon).

Family living off frozen food for a month now I think.

Oh yeah I forgot the 34" ultrawide monitor delivered a few days ago.

Pretty much an essential though if we end up WFH for the next few weeks as I think will happen.

Summer wax motorcycle jacket and armoured jeans. Hopefully some summer left when we are allowed outside again. Might buy a dartboard too. I used to play years ago so now could be the perfect time to bring back the skills.

Treated myself to a new makita impact wrench. Seller sent me the wrong item then closed their warehouse. I'll live, but it's just ironic since I've been putting off buying one for a year

Some old school Hope bits. Not needed really, but impossible to find otherwise. Spiders and lockrings for the early hubs.

And I've just sold a mixed bag groupset. Was going to take it down till things have calmed, but someone came along before i could. I've no idea though if the po is accepting parcels or even if they're open. Find out tomorrow.

Bread flour from Shipton mill. Received the box with wholemeal and mixed grain flour. Also ordered a 15kg sack of white. Sharing with a neighbour. That's not arrived. Been out for delivery on 3 occasions with parcel force. Thinking it's been swiped by someone.

A new Ti frame, direct from China.

Bought and paid for before the virus!

Thankfully I have all the parts required to build it up, I don't want to be spending on bike stuff for the next while.

For me a bunch of trivial stuff from before the 'event' thats variously on slow boats or back orders

A deburring / chamfering tool that has been travelling from the Far East so slowly that I've forgotten why I wanted it

A book about Kumiko

A new battery for a cordless Dyson that I didn't realised shipped from abroad until after I'd completed the order

A bottle of Baby Bio

I knew someone would say that we shouldn't be frivolously shopping online. But our economy needs us to.

Small businesses need the income to out food on their tables, and big ones need to keep running so they dont end up paying people off.

A loads of beers from Vocation brewery as my OH's birthday was yesterday. Have to say we both enjoyed the heck out of them !

Today I finally cracked and ordered some new ski goggles and a merino t shirt that I didn't really need but it meant free postage and £10 off the order. That's my justification and I'm sticking to it !

New cycling kit in sales Morvélo and Aussie Grit
Sennheiser noise cancelling headphones to WFH

GF beer from Westerham Brewery which has turned up and being consumed far too quickly.

Currently waiting on paint tester pots for the conservatory which I'm decorating to stop me being annoying whilst Mrs M is WFH.  Don't think they're turning up any time soon so it'll be Nordic Blue.

Brake pads front and rear for my KTM, so I can carry on commuting to work by motorbike and minimising sitting on trains.

Weirdly, everything I’ve ordered since lockdown (small bits and tools for impending bike build) has arrived. It’s the stuff that was ordered prior that isn’t here yet. (Main bits for impending bike build...)

New tyre for the commuter bike.
Larger chainring for the commuter bike so I have better gearing on the turbo trainer.
Singletrack mug (not urgent).
A few Lego sets in preparation for the full lockdown.
A warranty replacement rear brake is on it's way too.

Already delivered has been a turbo trainer, turbo trainer tyre, cheap fan and a speed/cadence sensor. That's my spending for the month done as I want to keep the rest of my 'extra' money aside. Want to get some summer tyres for two bikes and one could do with the suspension being serviced but as that bike will have little use over the next few months I'll leave the winter tyres on and there's still a while before the suspension definitely needs a service, I always do it every autumn and spring so they can go to July or so under normal use with regular aircan/lowers services. Probably won't need doing before October at the current usage rate.
