What pub in/around Ambleside?

Looking for some good pub grub for the weekend either in or near to Ambleside as that is where our B & B is. Anyone got any suggestions?

Noo the drunken duck is not half the pub it once was! Mums you get recommend an alternative

Was planning on zefferllis on one night but we are up there for 2 nights so couldnt decide where to go

The Wateredge Inn, down by the lake is a good one, as is the Queens Hotel in the centre of town.

Golden Rule for some drinks definitely - not sure about food sorry. A friend of mine's folks have run the Golden Rule for years and years, always seems like a nice atmosphere and decent ales etc - proper pub.
