Just discovering the joys of podcasts to help while away the endless hours of commuting by car ๐Ÿ™

Found a few cycling ones but they seem a bit beardy, or american. Any suggestions for something UK-MTB oriented, or some comedy, or summink, very much appreciated.

(ps only got the ipod for xmas, still learning the ropes)

I hate Russell Brand on the telly, I am put off by his stupid face and hair and clothes....

...but his radio shows with Matt Morgan are brilliant. Download them from here:

http://www.russellbrandradioshows.zoomshare.com/

If you like Ricky Gervais, his back catalogue of XFM shows & podcasts are here:

There's an STW podcast isn't there?

I subscribe to:

Stephen Fry's podgrams
The Bike Show (Jack Thurston on Resonance FM - might be a bit beardy for you)
Fighting Talk (BBC 5 Live)
Mark Kermode/Simon Mayo film reviews (BBC 5 Live)
Guardian Book Week
Albums You Should Hear (BBC 6 Music)
Front Row Highlights (BBC Radio 4)

Do I listen to them all? No. That's because Mrs North is forever pinching *my* ipod.

I'd also love to get some other suggestions from people.

Take a look at:
Animal Commencal
Charge Bikes
MBUK Doddcast
Fox Racing Shox
Singletrack magazine (of course)
iBikeRide
Dirty Little Secrets
(all for biking)

and some personal favourites for a laugh:
Cobra Podcast with danny wallace and dom joly
Danny Wallace XFM podcast
Jimmy Carr
Stephen Fry's Podgrams

All available by searching via itunes.

Enjoy.

'Stuff you should know' is very good
includes such gems as
'how redheads work'
'Where's the best place on your body to get shot'
'what can be done with a dead body'

Cycling podscasts:

The Fredcast
The Spokesmen

Done by the same guy. The first one is US biased, the second is a round table discussion of world wide cycling issues.

Non Cycling:

Scott Sigler - brilliant weekly(ish) instalments of audio novels that he writes himself. Very, very good indeed.
