Ye godlings how could I forget this. How this band stayed of my radar for decades until chancing across them a few month back is beyond me, but better late than never. Cardiacs:

Also my favourite bicycle related music video: British Sea Power - Machineries of Joy. (anyone spot what bike it is?)

Probably because it's also one of my favourite all time songs. One take magic:

But this is a close contender. I want Spike Jonze's children, even though I'm a he:

For the sheer inventiveness it has to be Arcade Fire's video for 'We Used To Wait' - put in your postcode and all sorts of interweb black magic draws in Google images from the postcode entered.

EDIT - no longer works ๐Ÿ™

Ok, Lionel Rich tea wasn't entirely from the heart.

Scroobius Pip does some fantastic videos and he is very much an artist from the One-Take camp.
Love this one.

I can't help myself, Die Antwoord's videos just keep me coming back, it's a dirty rubbernecking kind of feeling, but what the heck. Can't decide between Baby's on Fire, Fatty boom Boom or I Fink U Freeky. For now I'll go with the only mildly NSFW latter..

Ok, maybe it's a bit more than 'mildly NSFW' ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Quite like the Tuna Melt video just for the effort involved..

This has to be my most watched video. As students we used to have this on constant loop on the TV every evening while *ahem* relaxing on the sofa.

I cannot chose just one. Here's my selection:

And one that still cracks me up, her 'reply' to Robert Palmer!

This video got me into Muse:

I have been saving up this thread for a week, looking forward to the evening when I had time to listen and watch these videos.

TBH I'm pretty disappointed, the modern ones are soulless beat music with overpowering graphics and most of old ones are meh.

IMO Stings Englishman in NY is leagues ahead musically from everything else, but its not better than lots of other stuff from that era.
