porter_jamie - Memberi made a shock extension to fit a fireblade shock into an SV650
As much as I like the work, that makes no sense, some GSXR and Kwak 636 shocks fit perfectly into SVs (without the massive reservoir sticking into the battery box)
Still, it is a nice fix.
Love this thread. Well done everybody!
I recently made a well-flare (eh!?!) headset removal thinger with an offcut of copper pipe, a hacksaw, a file, a bit of wood and an AXE.
Looks slightly shoddy because one of the cuts isn't quite straight, and the wooden plug/striker in the end is artisinal to say the least. Works like a dream, though.
Can't show you a pickcha because bloody Yahoo have locked my bloody flickr account. That's the second time the've done that - geocities 10 years ago, still cross...
Loving your hiking stick CZ, ESP the copper ferrules. Nice 🙂
fruitbat, are you sure that faces flat
Northwind. Its got a blade swingarm and all sorts. Not my bike I just designed and made the extension.
fair play mac, that's high profile bodging there! 🙂
Just read this thread to start to finish.
I am actually in awe of the talent that pours out of this forum!!
Such amazing work, skill, and true talent!! Fantastic.

I have the ridge & Fascia shingles to finish, T & G floor inside to stain, seating and a table to make as well as the internal T & G panneling.
Holy crap that's where all the forests go!

At JCL.....Yep, wood; the only sustainable building material. No cement used. Not even on the fence-posts.
mike smith - you just made me very hungry!
northwind - no, but i'll try and get one

more mini block mods
some people have far too much money 🙂
Im guessing that cost at least 4k!
hank youToday's work, a nice understated Brompton:
Rohloff, Hope discs, Speed Drive, King headset,...
did you make the frame too Ben?
Im guessing that cost at least 4k!
Not quite that much 😉
did you make the frame too Ben?
Made the forks from scratch, modified the rear triangle quite a bit - the main frame and stem are standard.

awwwww man i asked this on the other place...you might as well make the whole schebang if they complain send them my email address....lol
I am thinking about it - well, making an improved folder inspired by the Brompton - but at the moment it's easier to modify existing Bromptons. They have the economies of scale for things like catches and pivots.
Some inspiring stuff on this thread.
Me, my dad, and a bloke from South Shields called Peter Brown. Made 3 of these so far, this is a picture of the first. The latest has longer pneumatic and electrical boxes on the front and different mountings for the guide lasers.
The latest was installed and commissioned on Friday.

Yes I think it is. The tool now has the addition of a pack of bellville washers to provide the axial load.

tri bar spacers
My shed 😀
Ok, it's not flashy or even that big (i have got my bikes and the kids bikes plus my fishing gear and a load of other stuff in it though!), but i did build it from out of a pile of random bits of wood.
And it's my first attempt at building anything 😆
Also it survived 'hurricane force' winds yesterday 😉
Not made, more of a put up. My £800 ebay purchase conservatory. Had to lower the height of the roof, as the house it came from was absolutely massive, and we hadn't got the height.

First and last conservatory I will ever put up.
Not made, created donchewknow. From a reference picture, obviously.

Recycled from a fence that was in the garden when we moved in. We bought a piece of the neighbours garden, which is 5 inches deep in the red chips you can see, and it's about 150m2. That's gonna be a fair bit of barrowing!. This ain't it's final position, my shed is going there. Takes 6m3 of logs, and I've two others that take 4m3 each, so I reckon I can fit 3 years wood in them. I've just got the roofing felt to go on.
Prepare to be astounded:

I like that Househusband and love the bed neilc.
At the start of the week I made this cupboardy, chesty drawery thing...
...and then later in the week I made this corner shelf unit for a basin...
...and later still, I made this shop counter with (not very)secret storage in the top and a bench, for the same shop.
This week was unusually MDF-centric... 🙂
Made a hash of removing a linkage bolt. Which I think will end up making me poor. And sad.
yeah but the thing is KAyak23 you make 3 things in a week, i make one a month!
This is a great thread but perhaps we need to differentiate between items made as part of your job - and otherwise!
That really is an excellent portrait Samuri.
what your not a professional coat-hook maker househusband?
and job implies making money - i certainly dont manage that!
