Wasn’t sure whether to put this in the Christmas Airfix or this thread, since it’s not predominantly a plastic kit I chose here.
Hasegawa 1/8th scale Sopwith Camel, from their museum series. I have been working on this since November about 10-15 hours a week since. So approaching 500 hours
I had always wanted to build the kit since I first saw one in the early 1990’s but they were prohibitively expensive for years ( £1k+) finally found one for less than £400 as the box was damaged but contents ok.
I modified the kit to make it more accurate with the tail and wing trailing edges metal instead of timber
A real challenge for me. I am mostly happy with the the result
