Dry rice cake
Or if you've had any IT delivered recently...
Some polystyrene.
Although i actially like dry ricecakes
How do you deal with the breath of a thousand turds after eating them though?
Yes you're right, it is entirely just a habit thing.
Once I get to about 2.30 my body just expects a bar of chocolate to appear and gets grumpy if it isn't forthcoming.
I need to have some MTFU with my cuppa.
or failing that a pie with chips and gravy.
Unfortunately I bought a Twix already today and I won't be able to NOT eat it now that it's sitting on my desk.
So the test of my willpower starts tomorrow.
A handful of nuts
OP's own? That'll take the mind off the chocolate right enough.
Eccles cake.
WITH BUTTER ON.
just had my second packet of Walkers crisps for the day 🙂 lovely !
I did swim at lunchtime, so that makes it ok...right ? 🙂
So if I did some exercise at lunchtime would I be allowed a guilt-free Twix?
^^^^ works for me.. 🙂
Rice cakes. Dipped in chocolate. Make your own. Bring to work.
Cheese and raisins, with dried apple rings.
That's a terrible way to eat if you are watching your weight - small portions every 3 hours or so, if hungry and don't eat late in the evening. 7.30 is late to have a big meal
<smug mode on> BMI 22 here </smug mode off>
Anyway, 7:30 would be a small snack, proper meal at 9.
Another constant grazer here...As for afternoon snackage - fruit, cheese+ crackers, fruit bread, Greek yogurt +a decent honey, excessive amount on nut butter on anything slightly edible. Going through a baking phase at mo, so also indulging in banana bread + for a savoury hit apple, cheese+ walnut scones warmed in the oven and smeared with half a block of salted butter....nom nom...burrrp
Are rice cakes the most nutritionally devoid food ever invented?
I'm having a banana!
No twix today!
Go me!
Although I'll be having someone's birthday cake in 10 minutes, but at least I don't have to pay for it.

Worse than that... 🙂

I'm having a banana!
It's still a snack though 😉
I am allowed to eat!
It's just a bit healthier than a chocolate bar, that's all. and probably cheaper.
If you didn't pay for it, then its no calories.
love a bit of cheese on me Soreen, esp a nice crumbly Lancashire. also recently discovered spreading Peanut butter on! tremendous
+1 for malt loaf. Although yesterday I nipped out to refund/change something and was left with a pound in my pocket. A pound! And roaming free in a supermarket. Danger.
It was late lunch. My stomach was grumbling. Afternoon mug of tea was expected. Nothing except healthy food in the larder at home.
Having recently once more revolutionized my unhealthy eating habits I walked past Ginsters, Melton Mowbray, frozen pizza, cakes, 2 for 1 biscuits and even a giant sack of Toblerone pieces. I would nornally grab a roll of choc homewheat or some meat and pastry combo.
The time was ripe, it was choose or leave. This was to be utter failure or my proudest moment yet. So I grabbed these seeded oatcakes.
Returned home topped them with hummus, thin slice of cucumber and a tiny drop of chipotle/chilli sauce. Ye gods they tasted so good. I had four. Mrs MR said no thanks, then tried one. Then 'tried' three more. A hit! Next time going for red pepper hummus on top. The cucumber is essential. Now if I am away from home I shall pack the cucumber slices, sauce and the hummus in some foil to top the oatcake on-site. Am enjoying a snacking revolution.
Malt loaf with crunchy peanut butter.
