[#3598357]

Some foods are just proper skeggy aren't they?

Fozen mince.
Faggots.
Mechanically retrieved chicken arses shaped as something and breaded.

I can't believe people buy those 4 bird dinners from Aldi. At best it's gonna be a duck / precinct pigeon* / starling / sparrow.

*the ones that smoke and eat chips.

Any of those frozen <insert meat> dinners that masquerade as some kind of Sunday lunch. Pah.

Vesta curries too.

Anything in a tin.

Except bakes beans.
And sweetcorn.
Oh, and soup.
Then there's condensed milk too.
Coconut milk.
Almost forgot chopped tomatoes.

Ah dammit.

It seems my 'system' is stupid and illogical.

I knew someone who wouldn't buy orange or yellow peppers as they were "too middle class"

He was a little odd .

+1 for what's wrong with Faggots?? Delicious.

I used to buy frozen mince at uni because it was a) cheap & b) convenient. Not sure it was any worse than unfrozen mince to be honest.

Oh, and I love a bit of tinned chicken in white sauce if I am in a hurry. Not too keen on the way it fwooomps out of the tin, but once warmed up, it's lovely.
Oh, and Stagg Chilli....mmmmmmmm.

Hmmmm, I must be well erm, 'skeggy'.

Chicken Tikka Lasagne as advertised by Kerry Katona in an Iceland advert a little while back.

EDIT - but that's because it sounds disgusting.

If it's to make meals for the servants, then yes, by all means.

If the mince is extra lean steak mince, yes. Otherwise no.

I won't buy Cristal champagne because I don't want to look like a rapper. Bollinger's a bit poncy too. Nothing wrong with Morrison's own label champagne though.

I find microwave meals incomprehensible. Its sending out a message that you possess not an ounce of self-respect.

Wierdly, the only person I know who regularly eats them is absolutely minted. Go figure....

Tried a Fray Bentos pie the other day (not had one in best part of 30 years) - was really rank - very low quality meat.

Faggots and peas, food of the Gods.

Ready meals are a no no.

Tinned stuff is good for camping.

I feel sorry for you missing out on all that confit and cassoulet, although if you're a proper snob you can get it in jars.

Anything whose preparation instructions start with "remove from cardboard wrap and pierce film in several places"
Anything frozen
Anything labelled with a "fictional farm name" to try and make it sound "homely and good"
Anything that comes "crumb coated"
Plus anything from a growing list of food processing/supply companies that I refuse to patronise (on the basis of their manufacturing & supply procedures)

other than that, it's all good.........

Much of the rich and expensive food I enjoy is derived from the peasant food of Spain, Italy, Morocco, etc, so when I'm in Tuscany or Andalusia, I like to eat parmo and fry bentos pies.
