The Bothy Bible now googled it and dry weather in N Wales or Lake District I hope.
We're away for xmas this year so it's going to be a low key affair (as the holiday is expensive)
In general I like experiences rather than things, as I usually just buy the latter.
My wife bought me a couple of camping meals for my last birthday, as well as some energy bar type things, on the basis that I should go away for the weekend somewhere. This is the sort of thing that I like, as I also get to get to keep the memory, and it has more 'value' than the cost
I got some coaching from Jedi one xmas, was ace
EDIT - for my birthday a few months back I did get loads of things which were all useful and needed, but I'd had a birthday list running for ages in the run up to that!
It must be a sign of my age now i'm on the wrong side of 40 but a Sage Smart Oven is what i'm wanting/getting for xmas,
