how many of you bring in cake and how many get cake brought in for you?

My last job they expected you to do a full on buffet.... costs the guts of £40, and everyone swooped in to graze and then ****ed off without even wishing you happy birthday...

this year, new job, and a box of flapjacks has resulted in a lot more freidnly faces. Hooray!

What birthday expectations do you have to fulfill in your workplace?

Bringing in cake(s).

Doesn't seem quite fair really though, does it? Surely the Birthday girl/boy should be given the cake, not them do the giving.

Besides, I've never ever worked on my birthday 🙂

Samosas - there are some really good Indian deli's nearby that make their own. They're fantastic. However, the requisite amount costs a fair bit.

Fewer and fewer people are buying but whenever a batch is on the scene the vultures descend. At the front of the queue are generally the fat biffa's that have never contributed.

Last year cost me £52.

half-day and pissup usually, although we've also done go-karting and theme park visits. For a group of about 8 friends.
