how many of you bring in cake and how many get cake brought in for you?
My last job they expected you to do a full on buffet.... costs the guts of £40, and everyone swooped in to graze and then ****ed off without even wishing you happy birthday...
this year, new job, and a box of flapjacks has resulted in a lot more freidnly faces. Hooray!
What birthday expectations do you have to fulfill in your workplace?

Doesn't seem quite fair really though, does it? Surely the Birthday girl/boy should be given the cake, not them do the giving.

Samosas - there are some really good Indian deli's nearby that make their own. They're fantastic. However, the requisite amount costs a fair bit.
Fewer and fewer people are buying but whenever a batch is on the scene the vultures descend. At the front of the queue are generally the fat biffa's that have never contributed.
Last year cost me £52.

FFS Why! It's my fricken b'day!!!... heyho... the cakes from everyone/most other ppl make up for it...
My birthday is on christmas day so I avoid all that! Its about the only good thing about it.
Has to be cream cakes here.
