some that have not been mentioned yet:
The Hobbit
Duengon Master
Metal gear solid on the PS1. i could complete it in 8 hours by time i stopped playing it!
And all the Gran Turismo series. I to spent too much time doing the real time endurance races (losing on the last lap in a 24Hr race is as close to crying as a grown man should come, except when your bike gets scratched).
Tetris
GTA
Colin McRae Rally
FIFA/PES
Tiger Woods Golf- when I worked nightshift, it could be the only thing we did all week!
Command and conquer, when I was a kiddie. None since, never get chance to play games!
Oh I totally forgot about Wip3out. My god, that became a seriously hardcore sport in my house. I continually amazed myself with how good I'd become...
Gran Turismo series. I to spent too much time doing the real time endurance races

now at the age of 38 i have a thumb which when used for any period of time produces shooting pain up my arm i swear its from gaming in my youth
Brought up on Doom for pc, a friends dad was a computer geek so he had 3 pcs networked round the house. Back in the day this was awesome, many nights dissapeared and it was amazing how much you sweat when concentrating.
Then came counter strike (followed by cs-source), the big attraction was playing online with your mates. I play CoD 4 once a week now online and thats enough.
At uni Goldeneye on the N64 and sensible soccer on the pc. Subsequently I lost periods of my life to Champ Man and then Counter strike and then COD4. I haven't played many games recently but have a good chess game on my phone for when i'm on stand by. Must be getting old.
Yi ar kung fu (that bitch fan)

Wipeout 2097
C&C Red Alert
Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2

N64 - Mario 64, Mario Kart and Goldeneye
Counter Strike takes the win for me though. Started playing it at Beta 7.1 sometime in 2000 I think, and I still play it to this day (although very rarely) I'd hate to think how many hours Ive spent playing that.
Over the years I've wasted countless weeks playing.....
Mario Kart (SNES)
Wave Race (N64)
Gran Tourismo 1 and 2 (PS1)
Need For Speed Underground (PS2)
Metal Gear Solid (PS1)

I'm also a games tester in my spare time, I get the opportunity through contacts to take part in a lot of alpha/closed beta testing every so often.
MtbCol how do you get into the games testing stuff?
