Never did though, the basteward. He's dead now. So ha!
Lol - class
coffeeking - MemberAlways wanted 3 cars from my childhood.
Pretty much every kid I new had a Lambo poster on the wall, plus that tennis/arse poster 😉
James May review on TG showed what a monster it was to drive mind, one of those things, better to keep as a dream, than acually drive I guess.
I really want my old car back 🙁
wish I'd never sold it

Yeah, I've sat in one - zero visibility and not overly comfortable, but I'd still like to own one as I'm a bit masochistic at times! The grin from driving/looking at it would out-do the difficulties.
VW Corrado- Always thought they looked lush when I was a kid.
TheArtistFormerlyKnownAsSTR - MemberWith regards to Capri's, this was the daddy - a Tickford. They had some association with Aston Martin, but without researching can't remember what.[img]

Think again, these were the ultimate Capri's Racing Capri's

+1, been in one to, a special factory upgraded one 😉
Coffeeking - you and me think along the same lines ... the first thought that came into my mind on this thread was this car ... the black lambo:
that sound sends shivers down my spine 🙂
Although the rear wheel on that cossie lookes horse mucked!!
"They had some association with Aston Martin, but without researching can't remember what."
They were a 2.8 special, like a 2.8i but with a limited slip diff, stiffer anti-roll bars and shocks. Tickford, who were Aston's coachbuilders and tuning shop took standard 2.8 specials, stuck a turbo in them to give 125 /155 / or 175 bhp, retrimmed the interior in full conolly hide, built a couple of extra consoles in, fitted a decent exhaust and tyres.
Many of them were fitted with that bloody awful bodykit, and front grille that caused the motor to overheat almost instantly. A very small percentage of them left Tickford without the body kit and just the mechanical and interior mods done. I own one of the latter un-bodykitted ones in black with the 175 turbo bhp kits and it's absolutely hilarious in the snow.
No pics but i loved my Pug 205 GTI 1.6 rare as hens teeth now,was on about 130,000 miles when i sold her !!!
One car from my past that I wish I could drive again? Without hesitation, it would be The Widowmaker:

Proper fly engine, innit?, but mildly understated outside apart from the impossibly trick 16" Volk TE37s with uber-rare dish in the rears.
Sadly, my lack of ability got the better of it, and it ended up down a ditch. Backwards, you ask? How did you know?
😥
LP400 is way prettier than LP500s IMO, timeless design.
The Flying Ox
If you know of anyone who does the same let me know, I need an engine and running gear 😀
that sound sends shivers down my spine
then you need to see Lelouche's Rendezvous
As a young un' - I don't have much past to draw on. My parents owned rubbishy cars*.
As the slightly faster version of my first car;

Don't really keep up with the MR2 kids now, but if you're on imoc/mr2oc then Jaffa and Larry93 are in Edinburgh and seem to keep their hand in with parts, engine swaps and the like. Give them a PM.
EDIT: I have the LSD gearbox and rear driveshafts from that very car if it helps?
Now you mention it, I want My old MR2 AW11 T-bar back as well :(.
Can't even find any nice pics of it.
