At first glance they look like ultrasonic modules for an alarm system

the alarm bit of the alarm, that squacks in the thiefs face?

that looks like a transporter, and they look aftermarket. got an aftermarket alarm?

Yes as above, ultrasonic for the alarm to detect movement. Can be set off by large moths at two in the morning..

+1 to the above, I believe they may be called volumetric sensors 

there may be a button somewhere to disable them,  in VWs it is down low on the drivers side  B pillar

Tiny speakers for playing music performed by tiny singers. Lady Gaga is only 5ft 1in. Her music plays much better through premium tiny speakers.

Those pics, pillar and all, look exactly like my car (Renault). Except you have prettier frost than me.

Anyway, answer to the question is they are toys for your kids to pull off and leave dangling by the wire.

Alarm makes sense, thanks! And thanks for the other suggestions to, you never fail!

It's a Movano with a Welfare conversion so it might be a non standard item.

Wow, I haven't seen frost patterns like that since my bedroom window in the 70s. Very pretty work by Jack Frost.
