Fed up with the bloatware that itunes has become. I have one PC full with 100 ish gb of music hooked upto some crappy PC speakers and one classic 80gb Ipod.
All I want to do is play music on the 'pooter and transfer stuff to and from the ipod.

I dont need or want imusic shop, iradio, ipodcast ietc.

I want something free (if possible), without adverts and simple. any ideas?

Pandora and Spotify, not touched the music on my HD in ages (it's not actually with me at this point and I've not missed it)
Bin the ipod and get something that works without itunes?

Have a read and choose from here:

Mac or Windows, sync, paid or free = there are few good ones.

To be honest, I mostly use Spotify, iPlayer and netflix these days - my iTunes media library is doing the digital equivalent of gathering dust.
