Knocked out so close to the finish line, by Sally Lindsay's Christmas Quiz on tv in the background while I was on the pc! 🤣 

The 🤬 at work played it on purpose as I walked in this morning. This is despite some of them still being in too. Cut off their own nose to spite my face. 🤣

I had a cafe stop on my ride yesterday and they were playing all of the Christmas songs. I had my sausage roll and coffee, then left sharpish.

I'm with the MIL so am legally obliged to listen to Radio 2. Gary Davies just played it. 

I was actually out on December 2nd but listening to that, my heart went out to all those brave souls who must have just been taken out by his callous actions. 

I am home after the final shop.

Once again i have achieved Christmas.

Bugger it let my guard down got in mrs g car to drive to MILs didn’t notice radio was on and suddenly there it was bloody radio 2 a good result overall

Home from work, done the shopping, and still in, unless you count Emily Pilbeam playing the Future Islands cover on 6music yesterday, for which she got a lot of flack, and claimed not to know about it (as a DJ on a national radio station? How?!). Going to a party tonight though.

Seems like Wham have almost been cancelled, presumably because numpties taking it too seriously and sending shop managers death threats for playing it. But maybe I'm just avoiding all the right (wrong) places.

I was saying yesterday Poguemageddon would be a good alternative. It's not as prevalent, but it's acceptable in a broader range of places so would be tricky. 

Waitressmageddon would be tough too.

It hasn't been played on R3 so I'm good.

Christmas is Christmas eve in these parts which is now so I've made it without trying, Madame too. In fact I haven't heard any Christmas songs either. I listened to M-radio in the car a few weeks ago, zilch. No Christmas music in the shops, none in service areas. It strikes me that AI crap has replaced music royalties have to be paid on so no Wham.

We're at the MIL's tomorrow afternoon so it'll be mandatory listening in that house.

Got caught twice this evening. First time was the santa parade down Aviemore high street. Given that santa and the reindeer passed first, I'm counting that as a win!

The Golden Order of WHAMAGEDDON 2025.

I do think there seemed to be less music  around this year. Which could of helped with people's success a bit.

I see the above as basic campaign medals.

Someone suggested we need gallentry wham medals.

Such as Going Shopping, Christmas Party with a Wham theme, and made to listen to Radio 2 with the mother in law... would a Victoria Cross equivalent for example.

Any other suggestions?

Well by avoiding going out (as I've not needed to..) I've managed to not be struck out for the first time in I don't know how long... YaY!

As we went out for our Christmas meal today it was inevitable that I'd hear it and I did, but I double-checked the official Whamageddon rules and it runs until the end of the 24th so I'm still a Whamageddon champion! 🙂

Still any time I hear that song is a defeat, so I'd rather avoid it even though the competition is over.

I got done on the 24th. Watching the Newcastle RB match is was played in the ground. Miffed.

Heard it for the first time today at my mother's house. Totally inevitable on local commercial radio.
