My need for holding actual cash has basically gone now that I live somewhere modern, so all I really needs is something that can hold three cards. At some point I may even get around to buying something rather than keeping using my old wallet.

There was a slim wallet thread a while back. Thanks to that I went from a bellroy to a trove and haven’t looked back since. Two cards and some cash, plus stocard on my phone, and apple pay on my watch/phone.

Only problem is that it’s so small that sometimes I forget it’s in there when I take my trousers off

While I’m using my phone a lot more now that FaceID actually works, and is far, far better than the TouchID on my old phone, I still have to have a means for larger transactions, like filling the car, paying my share of the council tax, etc, so I still carry my debit card, plus my drivers licence, the card issued by my local council for paying council tax, and a few loyalty cards, plus folding cash, and I use a Pelican Sport Wallet, not the slimmest, but very robust, and fairly waterproof in case of a dunking.

Beloroy 1 card phone case + Curve card + emergency £20 for 95% of purchases.
If only Curve could handle my cashback Amex they would win the internet.

I have a Mont Blanc slim thing, it doesn’t carry coins, or have a notes section, unless I fold it them in half and stick them in the pocket behind the cards. It only takes 4 cards, which is fine, because I got so fed up with a wallet that was thick with crap I never used, or needed I went drastic and cut right down. It’s coming up to 12 years old now, still looks good and suits my needs when I have to use a wallet. That said, it bloody well should do, as apparently they are £200 now. Thankfully it was a gift from a client all those years ago.

I hope one day we can move to a point when we no longer need them, or physical cash. I could probably get away with a phone case that has a 2 card slot, but I’d rather keep things separate, just in case I do something silly and lose the phone 😆
