[#10813043]

As per a previous thread of mine I need to get to The Garage in Islington for a Sunday night gig from Theale.

The trains back to Reading and Theale will be super late so I’m looking to drive to near the end of the M4 and park somewhere I can get the Victoria line or Overground to Highbury and Islington.

There seems to be a dearth of online info on which stations have parking.

Can anyone give me any pointers where I can park easily for one of the stations. I’d rather spend more time in my car than on the train late on so nearer to Islington/further from the M4 isn’t a problem.

Many thanks for any help!

Look for local parking around Hammersmith on JustPark, last time I was up there my mate found a space on someone’s house frontage about ten minutes walk from the station, cost something like £10-12 from about lunchtime, we got back from the gig about midnight or thereabouts.
I think it was along Hammersmith Grove.
I live in Chippenham, and for years I’ve always parked around Hammersmith, it’s the easiest station to get to, although if you can locate parking near stations like Ravenscourt Park using JustPark it makes it a bit easier to drive in and out, but the Tube run is longer.
Who are you seeing at The Garage? It been years since I was last there for a gig!

Bob Mould doing a solo electric show. Can’t wait! I’ll look tomorrow at your suggestion, thanks.

You could come round the north circular (a406) and pop down to Archway. 263 bus from there, takes you down the Holloway rd to the Garage.
Or park near East finchley (close to a406) ,Northern line to Islington and ten minute walk or bus along Upper St.
P.s. The A312 at Jct3 of the m4 takes you to the A40 and cuts out Hammersmith and the worst of the a406 bottleneck.
🙂

Queen’s Park area - should be free street parking after 6pm.
