I am due in Ambleside later this week and wanted to know if it was worth heading up there. I.e what is the state of the roads, what are the state of parking areas etc?
Oh and whats the forecast for the rest of the week up there :S

Yesterday on the Coniston fells:

Several inches of snow right down to valley level. The main roads were fine but side roads, carparks etc are still covered.
Forecast: staying cold, basically.

its a bit milder today(slightly),all of the major roads are clear,a few of the smaller roads are a bit slippy,out on the trails its very icy,its been -10 for the last couple of nights,supposed to get a bit milder and a bit of rain over the weekend.Rob
