After some 25l containers, and not sure where in the real world, ie not on the internet would stock such a thing. Ideas? and i want cheap so not interested in cooled camping water containers which i have found.

Camping shops ? Or if you want 25L buckets then homebrew shops (and Wilkinsons) sell them.

for water, to be thrown in the back of a car to not fall over, to live off, so needs to be suitable for drinking water.

Based in Cheltenham. I have seen the sort of thing i am looking at on the internet, but was wondering if i could find somewhere nearer

If you have a farming supplies shop anywhere in the vicinity, you can nearly always get them there. We have several which are used for ferrying water to distant drinking troughs.
