I don't know who read the book and thought putting it on the stage would be fun, but wow, it was amazing. The horses were incedible and the whole thing was completely involving. The lack of stage furniyure made you focus on the actors, but after a bit you stop seeing the horse operators (apart from on the foal, they were kind of hard not to see then)

Agreed. Managed to fluke front row seats late last year in London...its very good, the mannerisms/movements of the horses is amazing. Well worth going

no, was on at the picure house as a live recording.
front row seats, eh? must have been awesome when the tank appeared. jealous.

Saw it in Edinburgh a few weeks ago. Utterly, utterly brilliant.
And the goose had us in stitches!

I thought it was class- completely ridiculous plot mind, and the actual story fell apart a bit in the second half but I just didn't care. The first time big Joey appears on stage is just... ridiculously good.

Lucky enough to see it at the National and had seats which the cast ran past so we had to mind our feet
The goose stole the show for me 🙂
