Worth asking the question, has anyone had occassion to re-sole walking boots.

Whatever boots I've had have always aged at a similar speed, uppers / sole however my current Merrell Chameleons are still 100% above the sole but just about to wear through the heel.

It's fair to say they have covered a lot of miles so I have no issue on the build quality, great boots so it would be a shame to junk them, any ideas ?

Thanks for the information,

Tracey / TOD, certainly cheaper than a new pair of boots,

Gusamc, I'll give a go but to be fair to Merrell there is no defect, just too many miles !

I've used Lancashire Sports Repairs a few time over the years for repair and maintenance of my outdoor gear, including a re-sole of my Scarpa boots.

They are very good and recommended by a number of manufacturers.

+1 for lancashire sports repair. They resoled and replaced the midsole on som meindl boots. Sole was worn and midsole was crumbling. Did a top job.
