Bimbler, that is the offical policy from FIFA
"Besides there are many situations when multiple viewing from multiple angles still does not provide a substantive conclusion."
I think you'll find that there are even more situations where it does.
"well done Tel" - ah that explains it - you are a total cock

That would do wonders for the flow of the game, lets all stand around for 5 minutes while we argue whether that was a free kick/penalty/corner whatever.
I actually agree with the FIFA dictat on this one, part of the beauty of the game is that it's played to the same rules everywhere, Hackney Marshes to World Cup finals.
"well done Tel"
Lovely technique though, non? The way he just cut it back for Gallas to knock it in, peachy.
clairement la réponse n'est pas à craindre que beaucoup à ce sujet? honnêtement, vous, les garçons doivent se concentrer sur les choses importantes dans la vie, comme le vin, les femmes, et le gâteau. allez la france
i dont care in all honesty.Majority of other Home country supporters seem to revel in Englands frequent balls ups and actively support the opponents.
So no sympathy from me today.
+1 even though Ireland are a foreign nation not a home nation as such.
Can't believe it took all that time before someone said it.

trail monkey.
The sentiment's the same.
Any country who spawns Louis Walsh deserves all the pain and suffering that comes their way.
He is from there isn't he???

I friend has asked me to email this to all the world cup sponsors.
“If France are allowed in to the World Cup cheats prosper and the World Cup is tarnished.”
fifa they say non

it was never going to happen, to be fair. france would have beaten them on pens anyway... 🙂
The beautiful game! My arse..my heart bleeds NOT. 🙄
I asked Gillete if they wanted to be associated with a cheat. Here's their reply:
Gillette is aware of the HENRY handball incident in the France v Ireland World Cup qualifier. Thierry Henry has publicly acknowledged that it was a handball. It is not our place to comment on the refereeing in the match. This incident does not affect his relationship with us.
Kind regards,

Procter and Gamble UK
Ostrich moment there I guess.
😆
He knew he'd hand-balled it. He didn't have the quality to tell the ref. He's not a gentleman, he's a cheat.
It's reported even Arsene Wenger saw it!
Watched game in a local Irish run bar (I have been here 42 years) and couldn't believe what I was seeing. Gutted. Didn't expect to win beforehand but to lose like that is so disappointing.

meh...wasn't that bad. Happens all the time. And it's not as if Ireland were going to be any good to watch in the World Cup now, was it?
HTFU.
a FIFA source has told Press Association Sport: "There is no way the game can be replayed."To do so would cause absolute chaos for football. If it was replayed, then every match in the future would also be subject to these calls for a replay any time a referee misses an incident.
"FIFA's rules are absolutely clear. Law five states that a referee's decision on points of fact are final. That is the end of it. You cannot replay the match on this basis.
"You have to have a rule that says the referee's judgement is always right."
exactly. not to say that every fan hasn't at some point wanted wrongs from a game to be put right, eg. the scandalous penalty decisions of arsenal v liverpool CL 2008, but the idea that it would be replayed is ridiculous.
flatboy - I agree with the FIFA stance on replays, but surely they could incorporate a "bringing game into disrepute" law against individuals (players or managers) who take the piss and are caught taking the piss after the match on video.
Classic Keane (Roy) response
stoner - i'm not sure i would agree that he has. instinctive move during the game, by a particular set of circumstances the effects of which were hugely magnified. i would argue that it gives weight to the need for some sort of video review or similar during the game, but not that he or anyone else should be punished now.
I like this Irish fall out with french over box incident
LOL that roy keane response! love when the phone goes off at 2.40! haha
That hand ball was revenge on the irish for giving us those fucwits from x factor..I dont even watch the programme but by the look of em they annoy me!
The RofI lost to some poor refereeing. I didn't hear many complaints for Michael Owen's dive against Argentina in England's last world cup excursion. Maradona's hand of god was class. How a midget managed to out jump the goalkeeper to handle the ball into the goal has always amazed me.
instinctive move
As for Thierry Henry's Hand of Gaul - a professional at his level who trains day in day out with his feet cannot instinctively handle a ball during a game. No such thing.
Footballers cheat, it's part of the game isn't it? FIFA shouldn't make a judgement on this game as it would open a can of worms for all the other dodgy decisions over the years.
i can't belive some of the comments of 'Henry should have said to the ref' get real folks.
i dont like football anyway , but its this sort of thing that , well, makes the game shite.
