VW approved used warranty charges

My mk7 golf GTD is currently at the local VW garage with an intermittent eml, and they have diagnosed it as the oil pressure switch. However, they told me that I will need to pay for diagnostics, and replacement of a 'one time use' plastic cover, even though the pressure switch is covered by warranty. Is this normal, or correct? Part of the reason I bought approved used is to get the peace of mind for a pain free solution to any problems but I'm not impressed now
