Well done Roglic, great ride by Carapaz but I am really pleased to see Roglic when. He deserves it.
He's the dullest of the current GC riders and only managed to save today by having Movistar tow him home to spite Carapaz.

3 Grand Tours and a total winning margin of 2 minutes and 2 seconds across the 3. It might have been a crap year in many ways but watching all 3 has at least offered something good.
Roglic had , I believe, 32 more bonus seconds than Carapaz.... so, the rider who rode the tour in the fastest time has only come second.
That's not even taking into account the time differences caused by the change to the 1sec/3sec rules the other day.
"Stop the count". Bit harsh for for Carapaz. I'm not a fan of bonus seconds in races. Weight in cheese, fine, not seconds.
I'm not a fan of bonus seconds or Roglic but he does seem like a top bloke when he congratulated Carapaz today AND Pogacar at le tour. He deserves it for sheer persistence and staying mentally strong.
I quite like the bonus seconds, as to get them it forced Roglic (or any other contender) to fight for the stages. And Movistar must really hate Carapaz 🙂
And they were pissed that Ineos took "their" team classification title in the giro so even more reason to put the boot in!
Great to see Hugh in 3rd and beating Rog today - again.
