CFH - scary stuff, glad you are all ok.
We hit a stag in the Touran - a massive swerve saw it hit the uptight pillar, and every side panel, but not the screen or roof. The nose left snot an the windscreen directly in front of mini_oab on the front seat. Close call.
Had similar driving down the M20.
Had started snowing and the outside lane was a no go area, except if you are in a BMW going the other way and decided to use it to overtake something, lost control got the rear end under the central reservation and ripped several posts out and sent them air bound onto the other carriageway. Was like slow motion watching bits of metal rain towards us till one smashed straight into the windscreen. Very very loud luckily no one injured and no damage to the van except the windscreen. Although annoying as was being traded in the next week for a new one!
Glad post it supply and Diverge marketing is secure! 😀
I hit a pigeon once, made a right mess of the Polo's windscreen.
Good job there were no bikes on the roof...
...could have been serious.

😆
+ well done for not panicking and keeping it on the tarmac.
Many would have had a big see-saw on the steering wheel and binned it into the armco / off the carraigeway.
I drive the same and they really are solid lumps with strength in the important areas, plus stable at warp speed too.
Glad your ok, hope you got the tree's details. Remember, where there's blame, there's a claim!
Did you get the rest of the branch? Deadwood is good firewood.
Experience tells me that branches landing on the roof sounds like the end of the world and that is in a reinforced and caged cab.
Hit a pheasant on the 303 a few years back - ripped the front roof bar off the car!
How the hell it didn't hit the car behind me I'll never know 😯
Was satisfying seeing it split in two in the rear view mirror though 😆
Going back round 2 junctions to find it was a total nightmare though.
Gosh how frightening, glad you are all oak kay 🙂
Maybe talking rubbish here but I'm sure you were safer in a Volvo than many other cars.
I drive one and always feel secure.
Blimey! Glad you're ok flashy, old boy.
I trust you had the Gardner responsible for that trees upkeep beaten to within an inch of his life?
But what on earth were you doing in the au pairs car in the first place? (taps nose conspiratorially)
Yikes!
Glad everyone is OK, but I presume a perfectly serviceable pair of trousers are beyond saving now?
Your forearm is only as skinny as that little twig?
Clearly less of a ****er than others round here wound imply!
Glad all safe - must have been very scary for you and your family!
Length and girth are two different measurements, OMITN.
Cheesy, trousers intact. Suspect I may have seriously clenched!

Glad to hear it. One log on the seat is more than enough.
One log on the seat is more than enough.
Mind you, if you could fire your logs through a window, well that's surely a marketable niche thing?
Reminds me of a little bar in Wan Chai.....
...with glass coffee tables as far as the eye could see.
*parp*
at least you;re here to tell us about it
*chapeau* to the punners, too.
Hopefully you whipped out your bowsaw and dispatched the offending tree? (chainsaws are so 2015)
Glad you're ok!
Someone *ahem* thought it was a good idea to put some water in his windscreen washer bottle halfway up the Bealach Na Ba in 106mph winds on Monday
That same idiot is so grateful that his windscreen didn't look like that after
I'm selling a nice V70 if you need a new one!
