O2 have an equivalent but they charge through the nose for it and you have to threaten to leave before they offer it.

Yes. Ours has been faultless for the last 4 or 5 years. First year was a bit flakey.

Orange to a similiar system that uses abd certain handsets (top end blackberry and samsungs I think) my brother uses it. ALthough some android builds can also support it.

Our sure signal was free as compensation for poor connection.

My old house was in a basin and there was very little to no mobile signal there (apart from in one small corner of the loft), we had a sure signal wired into a virgin router, always had 3G reception within a pretty good radius of the house then.

One of my housemates at uni swore by it as there was very poor signal in her area, but never had any issues since getting sure signal as far as I know...

just be aware that you shouldnt download large porn films while youre on a conference call because the pipe's not big enough (at least not round here, we only have 1-2Mb)

Yes and I got mine free from the vodafone shop when I told them my signal was poor at my house. Works great

Thanks All, I've sent Vodafone a slightly stroppy email complaining about the poor signal, so I'll see what they come back with (I thought It's worth a try as I've nowt to loose)!

We have one, zero signal we live in.
Works well, really easy to set up although there is a delay after first putting a number on though.

Pretty sure we got ours free, just phone Vodafone and ask.

Not surprised they give them away free, you're using your own broadband to carry the voice data rather than Voda's network 🙂

Problem is that I got it to guarantee signal when I'm working from home, but if I have to run an online meeting where I'm uploading data at the same time as using my mobile, the quality of the phone signal goes right down the pan and I end up sounding like Metal Mickey or Norman Collier 🙁

That means I've got to turn it off and run the risk of flakey signal from the Vodafone mobile network, which at times has been non existent this year..

Wish I didn't have to use Vodafone, but its a corporate contract with my employer, so there's nor much I can do, I'm afraid.

I got one as our reception is rubbish. Live next to a Vodafone test lab that's become very leaky and kills our signal.

Was easy to set up and works well. No complains. Begrudge the price somewhat seeing as it's to sort out vodafone's poor coverage.

Edit: I have bt infinity so good upload and download speed.

Solved the problem I was having taking and receiving calls from my home office. It does have the odd blip when it goes offline (about once a month for an hour or two I'd say)

Getting to the website to edit the list of mobiles which can pair up with it is a right pain though - although that may be more down to it being aligned with my wife's account.
