No, we can smell you.

Why do you care?

seosamh77

I'm willing to bet you'd not even notice me vaping in the same room as you.

Not necessarily so, I'm willing to bet you'd not even notice me vaping in the same room as you.

People who vape obviously assume this. Much like people who fart on the train etc. No, we can smell you. And we see you surreptitiously sucking on your little robot wang oh so sneakily.

Come on now. Don't be too harsh on them. Now that we've all packed in smoking there's a section of society that secretly feels agrieved they've been deprived of a main outlet for their endless, tedious, boo hoo, poor me, it's all just sooooooo not fair, sanctimonious, whiney, middle class bleating

there's a whole scene around it...pretty sad really.
You've just tarnished every STW user with a giant scenic brush.

The assumption being that every STW member smokes or vapes? Really, how was that arrived at then?

And I'd happily take you up on that; I'm pretty certain I'd very quickly spot anyone vamping in the same room, unless it was a large, very crowded room, in the same way that it would be easy to spot the person picking their nose or scratching their balls.
I'm pretty sure most establishments ban vaping inside their premises in the same way that they ban smoking, and a good thing too.

Is Binners always this sanctimonious, or just having an off day?

It's just the combination of me being in possession of a sense of proportion, and my low tolerance for bed-wetters

Is this the bit in the thread where the people who go to the pub twice a year, once for the Christmas do, and once on their birthday, start whining and bleating about what should, and shouldn't be acceptable in pubs? 😆

FFS the 2 things are not even comparable.

Ban it! Ban it! I don't like it! There is no evidence that passive vaping is harmful but ban it anyway! Ban it! It's a bit like that smoking thing so just ****ing BAN IT! The smell of strawberries is putting me off my Artisan Tempeh!

IANAV.

Whilst we are not sure the extent to which poisonous gases are emitted as a result of vaping, we do know that farting involves the emission of poisonous gases, It is clear where our priorities should lie.

Abssolutely not.
The assumption being that most STW members either; drink alcohol in establishments/play with Radio Controlled cars/construct model ariplane kits/spend hours creating GIfs/spend thousands supporting football teams/spend years arguing on internet forums/purchase bike after bike after bike etc

All of the above being scenes of one sort of another - that all of us STWers fit into at least one camp.
I was taking issue with calling one mans daft thing 'pretty sad' over another mans daft thing.

and gasses contain minute particles of matter. so in eccence, a cheeky train fart is essentially putting poo up someone elses nose.

Ban it.

I'd rather have pubs full of vapers than the current odour of arse and cheap aftershave. And if it keeps the bedwetters and their children away that's a double bonus.

It's cheaper and more healthy than smoking.. It's great for quitting.. I would think non smokers taking up vaping would be very much a minority..

You know how much twenty Benson are nowadays THM?*

Have a quick Google, and you'll have your answer as to why more people are vaping

* presuming you're not getting them from the bloke down the pub who just knocked off an off licence 😀

I don't under how the anti-vapers can sleep at night, they are effectively murdering people.

I used e-cigs for a couple of months to help with packing in smoking. No one called it vaping then. It was crap but made me stop and I have not touched either for years.

If I was to return it would be to proper tabs. The fancy vape things look stupid and make a stupid noise. Lad at work is always on his and the noise drives me mad. At least with a smoke, every now and then you have one that absolutely hits the spot.

So, is vaping in the same category as e bikes then?

My uncle introduced me to the concept of 'coil porn'... a highly complicated way of making fancy coils to heat the vape liquid.

Youtube it.
I'm odd.
You're odd.
But that's VERY odd....

It's worse than that, you can get titanium, steel and other exotic materials too. Just like bikes!

Haven't had the guts to try a carbon one yet though...
