Not so long ago I saw an MG ZR, kevved up in British Racing Green with bright orange trim, with the plate "KN03 HED" which amused me greatly; the DVLA are usually pretty hot on blocking 'offensive' plates.
I think you're all wrong and that the Range Rover actually belongs to simonfbarnes Irish counterpart.
I used to see a BMW driving around North Devon with DRU980Y plate on it until the owner got banged up 🙄
