Has anyone got a cheap recommendation for hiring a SWB transit-type van in Cardiff, unfortunately for furniture moving rather than bike purposes - I fancy saving a bit of leg work and having to ring around a load of places. Cheapest I can find so far is £115 for a weekend.

Yes, Pontyclun is out of the way but much cheaper than the others, and they are open on Saturdays!

Good stuff thanks Gripseses. Pontyclun is the right side of Cardiff for me no no problems there, I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what they can do.

Thanks Al, I'm going to be collecting it straight from work so it needs to be in Cardiff. I'm moving to Barry of all places, at least I'll have a bit of a longer ride to and from the office.

A night ride would be good I can make any night next week - when is good for you?

We used Pontyclun Van Hire to move to Pontyclun.
It's only 5 min walk from the train station if you're coming from Cardiff.
Leave the station on the Bridgend side, turn right, through the Ind Est, keep going to the Boars Head, turn right and it's on you right.
Used them a few times - usually seem to be the cheapest.
