Sadly, I don't think so.
With the new start rule, with the disqualification for 1 false start, I don't think he'd risk the medal for the record. And they need a flyer to go sub 19sec.
The olympic medal is just worth so much more to them.
I reckon they'll concentrate on the records between Olympics now.
Thought similar about the 100m too. I reckon he know's he can beat it but wouldn't gamble the medal for it.

LeMaitre deserves some kind of award for being a Caucasian in a sprint final.

No suspicion?

No problem with the suboptimal out of competition testing?

So should the IAAF say only one entrant per team now to prevent one team dominating, making it even easier for Bolt, or should the UCI ditch the idea and let the fastest in the world race it out in the finals?

It's certainly a result for the Jamaican sprint programme.

Apparently out of the 82 atheletes to run a sub 10 second 100m the frenchie is the only white man.

Whatever is right for the sport. If this olympics has shown me anything its that you can't compare one sport's rules to another!

Bolt was awesome anyway. What a great race.
