[#671365]

anyone else think he's doing the typical Britin tennis thing?

I'd love him to win but I don't think he deserves to at the moment.

At the moment he's Scottish, if he wins he'll be back to British

I for one hope he doesn't win for that exact reason.

Yes! Murray recovers to go 2-1 up. The scot was broken in his first 2 service games in a disasterous first set. The plucky brit is producing some great tennis now though.

that's what winds me up. Just like Henman, he plays below par and is then described as"plucky".

He's seeded 3 FFS! He should annihilate this guy!

I was thinking about this earlier and don't think he is the typical British tennis player at all - he's actually very good. He's not being "plucky", he's just grinding out a result against a decent opponent as Nadal and Federer do (and Sampras and Borg and Graf...).

His weak point a few years ago was his strength so he's worked on it and now the longer a match lasts the more confident I get that he'll win it.

And he has an ability to win matches than Henman could only ever dream about.

What was the deal with the re-taken second serve? I missed the cause looking at those minging 2010 Specializeds. Just caught the whinging and a shot of some german tourists?

Other bloke is top 20 in the world and was top 10. Why exactly should he annihilate him? I'd suggest it's not so much Murray doing the typical British tennis player thing as everybody doing the typical British tennis supporter thing.

Retaken second serve - German (? I thought maybe Belgian) woman threw the ball back on the court as Murray was part way through his service action.

Glad to see he's finally being challenged. His last couple of games have been too easy for him. This'll show us what he's made of and if he stands a chance of getting anywhere near the final.

Murray has improved greatly over the past year
But he is still Scottish and I like to ride bikes not play tennis like all the saddos who play one game a year around Wimbledon time.
Good luck Mr Murray but I shall be out ripping up single track next time you are whacking a green furry ball up and down a court.

You just know that one of the camera crew covering the game has as his job for the night - "Scope out the crowd and look for some hotness. If they've got bouncy babbajangas, all the better"
